Loving the new Bronco. Definitely will keep my eye on it the next couple years. Manual as an option too, with one gear dedicated to climb? Yes sir!

Anyone looked into a Kia Stinger GT2? Think that might be my next car.

I drove a Charger Hellcat for 4 years (absolutely loved it) and got a Kia Telluride in January. I've been really happy with the Telluride, minus a few features that I didn't get on mine.

I looked at the Stinger but opted for the Telluride because I have been driving a muscle car since I bought a Mustang GT in 2005 and was ready for a change.

I really like the Stinger. Great value at the price. I wish it had a manual transmission. If I got one, I would black out those fake vents on the quarter panels and get different rims.

One of my friends works at a dealership for an automotive group. He loves the Telluride and Stinger.

I drove a Kia Spectra 5 for 12 years and my parents have had multiple Kias over the past 20 years. In my experience they're good, dependable vehicles.

              OS Cars Thread

Got my wife a Telluride in December, I absolutey love the car. When I was walking out I saw a Stinger and it’s been in my mind ever since.

              Seems like a great value.

I would want to put some wider tires on for sure, give it a little more of a sport car feel.

I hear the 2021 may have a nice jump in power.

No firsthand knowledge of driving a Stinger but everyone raves about them, and if you factor in cost, it's one of the best deals going. You're basically getting a BMW 4-series Grand Coupe for $10K less. And the Kia is almost certainly more reliable over its life than anything out of Deutschland.

I was in that camp for fourteen years. It's not fun.

But then you get your new car, will love it for a few years, and eventually more new cars will hit the street, and the cycle will repeat itself. Just love what you have for as long as it can drive, and then decide which camp you want to fall into afterward (used vs. new, purchased vs. lease, etc.) so that you don't give yourself this feeling again down the line for at least ten years or so.

Exactly what Blzer said - perfectly stated. We've all been there. I drove the same car for 15+ years (I don't recommend you do this by the way LOL) but saving that money and being responsible over that time, I was able to get cars that I really wanted and liked without putting myself in any jeopardy financially.

It's always a balance, because you don't want to wait until you're 80 years old to finally buy a car you want, but you also don't want to take on bad debt just to have a cool whip a few years earlier. It's the curse of people that love or really enjoy cars, and there are fewer of us every year. I've loved every car I owned in one way or another, as they all had some redeeming quality about it.

You're gonna get there, Roberts7, and when you do it's gonna be sweeeet

Ya that new car fever is strong, and it sucks when you aren't yet in a position to pull the trigger on something you want. When I got into the real world and started making some money the first big purchase that I made was a new car. That was 8 years ago and I still regret that decision, though mostly because I bought something that wasn't really 'me'.

I am still in love with the car I purchased last October though, even though I rarely drive it during covid. Fortunately I don't have to worry about falling out of love with it since manual transmissions are becoming extinct and the new generation of BMWs were modeled after beaver teeth. So, unless I get a huge promotion and can somehow a 911 then I'm pretty much set lol.

I'm always going to try and have a manual transmission vehicle for myself. The "family car" will probably have to be automatic, but for any new car I buy, if the answer to the question "Is it manual?" is "No," then I'm not getting it.

How very sad that they're becoming extinct. The excuse they're making is: "People aren't buying them because they don't know how to drive them." In actuality, people don't know how to drive them because people aren't buying them, because you don't make them!

I currently have a 17 WRX and I'm certain it's my last stick-shift manual. I will certainly stick with the stick (no pun intended) if its available when I'm looking for a new car, but in today's market that's increasingly rare. Paddle shifters could be a good substitute for the "fun part", but honestly going through the gears in some turns is always fun - even if I'm just cruising.

I guess it'll depend on the car. Another WRX and I'll probably try and stick with the manual stick, but anything above that will probably just be an automatic.

Fresh just sold my 2012 STI and I get the pain. So few nice manuals anymore.

Pretty sure I settled on the Stinger, as it is fast, not ridiculously priced, and has AWD.

I already miss the STI though. Drove Subaru’s WrX/STIs for the past 15 years almost.

For those looking at the Stinger, put the Genesis G70 on your list. Genesis has holdovers from 2019 for really good prices.
