If she is pregnant doesn't mean you two have to get married. From the sounds of you other thread you two have bigger issues to figure out. Marriage shouldn't even be in the cards right now man. You two are fighting over petty things like the TV. For the sake of everyone involved I hope she isn't pregnant.

I doubt she is, i had testicular cancer and my sperm count was practically nothing so I don't see how she could be but she says she's a week late and thinks she's pregnant. It'd be a miracle if she was according to my doctors..

Yeeeeaaaah def don't get married just because she's pregnant. the whole spending your life with one other person(to me at least) is a huge commitment, my wife and i waited til we were both out of college, and one of us had a job, now we just bought our first house at 23. Been married a year and a half and have a 4 year old son, I don't think I was ever afraid that things weren't gonna work out between us, but I think not getting married and just being together and working all the little stuff out really helped our relationship grow.

Good god I sound like a sappy old man.

If you only got box full of blanks then chances are that she's late for some other reason. My girlfriend was almost 2 weeks late in high school cause of the medicine she was on after her back surgery.

Odogg if you get married you guys will fine. Your problem you are having are no different than others have. Relationships about give and take. And to be honest most guys are the ones that do the most taking. So if it is the other way around in your relationship, you probably will be OK. Especially if you are as passive as you say you are. Someone has to be the one to give in sometimes. You just might be that person in the relationship. Also if you love her that is all that matters.

I would be happy if she was pregnant, I'm supposed to be sterile after this great cancer experiment. But I agree with what you guys say, how about this am I sure of it? I don't know.

No offense, but with the stories you have posted here, the last thing you guys should be doing is bringing a child into the world. If you're having issues over TV shows which is causing fights, a baby is only going to make things 100x worse.

Pre-marital counseling wouldn't be a bad idea if you do decide to go ahead and propose. From the outside looking in, y'all have some issues to address first. I wouldn't have the foggiest idea of how minor (or serious) they are.

Not sure if you are joking about "STFU," and I know some have already in this thread referenced standing up to her and telling her like it is, but that doesn't fly. The relationship has to have mutual respect, not one telling the other to shut up or referring to her as a ball and chain.

If you are creating a culture in your relationship where when you desire agreement you have to sound threatening or disrespectful, the agreement you get won't be genuine. If everything is held in you will over time become distant from each other's true feelings, and unfortunately, intimacy will be gone. And when that happens you are treading in dangerous territory.

Oh and yeah this is the same girl I posted about who would make me watch Buffy for hours on end, that stuff don't occur anymore. When she wants me to watch buffy or something we alternate her tv show and then mine usually.

As for the alcohol, we have come to a tentative understanding on it. I have started drinking less on occasion and when I do decide to tie one on shes mostly quiet about it now. Ive reiterated to her that the nagging doesn't help and she rarely does that anymore. Occasionally she will say something like "is that your last one?" and I will say something like "nope" or "maybe" and that'll end it. It seems as if I just don't say much and ignore it she won't badger.

The fact that she is worried about your drinking and you need to "tie one on" leads me to believe you have a drinking problem. Drinking to the extent you do, I don't think its possible to have a healthy long term relationship or be a responsible parent.
