Re: Most annoying words, terms, phrases

        Great thread.

I must admit, I've used some of these. I try to stay away from the words that have made their way into the mainstream. I used "Cool story dude!" back in the days of AIM. Now that it and variations of it are in the mainstream... I stay away.

I pretty much hate all the internet slang. Some of it is funny sometimes, but it goes on so much it gets annoying.

            "Well played, sir. Well played."

Okay is slowly getting up there. My math professor uses the damn word after every firetrucking sentence. I counted how many times he said okay for the first fifteen minutes of class on Wednesday; I was in the hundreds when I quit.

They don't hate to say it all. They are relishing in the shame of your defeat. They are about ready to screw the lid off the salt shaker and pour the salt right in your wounds.

When people say "this pleases me" or something like that. No one gives a **** if it pleases you or not.

Also, "this is true" instead of "that is true"

When people say "though" or "doe" at the end of sentences or thoughts that don't have a need for that.

                                The "that awkward moment" ****.

I could destroy this thread with suggestions if I wanted to.
