Re: Most annoying words, terms, phrases

"Can I ask you a question?"

To which I invariably say, "you just did....now you have to ask me another one".

Come to think of it... my response may now be someone else's entry here.

Re: Most annoying words, terms, phrases

      "shouldn't of/would of"

      It's "shouldn't have/would have"

      Misuse of then/than, their/there/they're, a/an, to/too, your/you're

Really all grammatical mistakes, especially the ones you learn when you're in elementary school. It's not that difficult

            That's pretty stupid reasoning.

            ---

            "I could care less"

That one pisses me off because the person is usually just trying to sound cool by not liking something popular. It will usually piss them off if you reply "so you do care a little?"

"Pop" sounds childish and "coke" is referring to a specific kind of soda.

That's borderline, but infinitely better than pop.

Here are a few more that really annoyed me in elementary school:

                  -"I don't give a care"
                  -"No duh"
                  -"Yes way"

It appears the Soft Drink commissar, JJLinn has spoken. All rulings are final.

                      It's Pop brah,

I'm convinced that had I stayed at BGSU the constant use of that word would've driven me insane.

LOL that's great, I almost did that to a few of the posts in this thread. Guess it's a good thing I didn't.

I look at it more as a show of respect, if someone says just what you were thinking before you can get to it, props are to be given.

Maybe if you didn't get upset at so many words, terms, and phrases, you'd have more than one friend.

Why would I refer to them as "my one friend" if I only had one?

When people say "Honestly...." or "Can I be honest...." or "If we're being honest...."

It's like "Oh cool, so you're lying most of the time then?"

Be honest with people. It's not that big a deal.
