That's what I thought, but I guess just like with everything else they're starting earlier. Oh <<<< you'll be excited to know the grand marshal of the parade is none other than American Idol winner Scotty McCreary>>>>

              Re: Christmas 2011

First day to acceptably decorate for Christmas is Black Friday. We'll get our tree and outside decorations put up that weekend.

Tradition wise, we go to Christmas Eve service, go to my grams for hot chocolate/eggnog and cookies. Then we all drive to both of my grandfather's graves to place lighted wreaths on them for Christmas.

We wake up early for Christmas morning, my gram and parents come to the house to watch the boys open their presents.

Christmas dinner (lunch) at my gram's.

We haven't even started Christmas shopping yet. We'll probably spend about a grand on our three boys and a couple of hundred on the rest of our family.

                So, I bought my wife:

From Michael Kors, a black leather jacket, the black leather purse to go with the jacket and Michael Kor ear muffs! I'm also going to buy her the new Zelda game.

I have so much more shopping to do.

Well I already got a Christmas present. My wife bought me a set of Bowflex adjustable dumbbells. So last week when she was at work it gets delivered and it is over 75 pounds. She bought it from Amazon and it didn't come in the typical Amazon box, but came in a box with Bowflex all over so I knew what it was. She let me open it up early.

My parent have been asking me everyday what we want for Christmas and I keep telling them anything is fine, or if you guys can come up to Chicago for a weekend and visit us that would be better then any gift. They just keep on asking, it is getting annoying!

My wife wants these dancing games for the Wii so I'll get her those and something else that I will think of.

Nice gift! Please let me know what you think of those adjustable dumbbells. I curl 45's, would those wait accommodate me?

Duluth's has always been the weekend before as well. Weather is a little too sketchy once you get into December.

So far I love them. Very easy to use and easy to change the weight. The max weight is 52 lbs I think, so you can do 45. They allow a lot of options for changing the weight, you can change the weight in 5 lbs intervals. Other adjustable dumbbells I've seen only allow 10 pound intervals.

It look that this will we the loneliest Christmas for me.
Four years ago I celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas with my parents, two brothers, four grandparents, uncle, aunt and her friend.
Three years ago I celebrated Christmas Eve with my mum and her parents and with my two brothers and then Christmas with my dad and his parents, my brothers, my uncle with his girlfriend and her kids, and my aunt and her friend.
Two years ago and last year XMas Eve with my mum, my grandparent (mum's dad) and brothers and XMas with dad, my brothers, my grandmother (dad's mother) and uncle.
This year XMas Eve and XMas will be with only my mother and brothers abecause my parents prefered that way.
It sucks when I remember when I was a kid and was around with my whole family to then realize three of my four grandparents are gone and my parents are divorced, I wasn't expecting this five years ago.

Sorry to hear about your loses and I hope that you find The Christmas Spirit alive and well in your heart! It's a hard time of year when you lose people in your life. Try to enjoy it that much more with the ones that are still with you.

                                27 Day until Christmas.

Time is going to fly by. My high school boys basketball team season starts on Tuesday (I'm the coach). On top of that, I'm the staff advisor for the Student Council and we run Toy Mounting and put on the Christmas Cheer Variety Show. On top of everything at work, my wife and I are hosting our own Christmas get together. I love this time of year! I just hope it doesn't go by too quickly.

Still not done all of my Christmas shopping!

I hope everyone's season is in full swing!
