                    This is pretty cool as well. Connecticut officers from other towns volunteer to work so the Newton police can have Christmas day off.

                    Newtown police officers are getting a much needed day off on Christmas thanks to the kindness of their brethren from across the state. Connecticut officers from nearby towns not only have volunteered to cover all of the Newtown shifts but will donate their overtime pay to charities related to the shooting that left 27 people dead.

                                                I got nothing for Christmas this year.

                                                Didn't give anything either, though that will change when I go take my fiance shopping for her tablet (thinking the Galaxy Tab 2, but don't know which one she wants yet. The Google Nexus one is also an option.)

                                                    I got nothing and didn't/couldn't get anything. Unless you count me receiving $10 Dunkin donuts card. Its whatever though same story every year so its not a big deal.

                                                        I got my gifts from my parents beforehand and it was more of decorations for my room. Totaled about $90 in Walmart gift cards as well as TDKR blu ray and Les Miles hat from everyone else

                                                        Kind of hoping my real dad sent me the usual $100-200, but haven't seen it yet.

                                                            Reminds me of one year where I caught a really bad chest cold on Christmas day. I was so weak and puking too....It was so bad my mother had to call a doctor to the house (yes, even when I was in my early teens there were doctors that did house calls) I couldn't even eat the traditional turkey and baked macaroni.

                                                            It was tragic.....
