I guess it depends on how much alcohol you drink. A lot of it is moderation, but it seems like a lot of people have problems with that.

To be fair, I don't think most people are saying you can't do things in moderation.

I workout 5-6 times per week, eat healthy for breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with protein bars, fruit, etc, for snacks in between. That doesn't mean that I don't have a beer or two on the weekends, or go out to eat on a Friday night and order dessert.

Having discpline means just that... being able to live a healthy lifestyle while allowing yourself to to have a treat once in a while.

Yep I don't smoke, or drink.

Smoking is something that never got my interest, but I definitely understand how hard it is to quit once you get on it. My mom is a pack a day smoker and we've done everything to try and get her to quit, but she just can't.

As with drinking I think it's more tolerable as long as you don't go binge drinking and get absolutely stoned drunk every night. If you can have a beer or 2 in moderation I don't think it will sabotage your health plans all that much. However I must be the weirdest person on the planet, as I just don't like the taste of Alcohol, I can't hold a Beer to save my life it just tastes odd to me and makes me gag. So I never got into drinking.
