A weirder one to post. For years I had inconsistent wifi connection. It was mostly fine, but every so often it's not so good. I was told theres not much I could do.

I've always figured its something to so with the house since I know the top floor was added later on. Maybe some kind of metal they put when adding onto the house which ended up dampening wifi signals from passing through those floors?

Either way, I only recently figured out I could move my modem to a more centralized location simply by using a splitter with my TV cable and my internet speeds are way more consistent, and signal strength is actually fine throughout the house now.

Used to be dead spots in the far corners of the house, now that's all gone.

Cable company said it couldnt be done, but if I did try getting someone to, they'd probably act like the house needs rewriring or something like that.

All this back to school stuff has made me think back...

How awesome were Fridays(and long weekend Thursdays) after lunch? And especially after 3pm? A feeling that can never be replicated as you get older.

After lunch? I remember them dragging honestly.

I still look forward to long-weekends, however. I always kind of dreaded the holidays at the end of the year because mid-terms started picking up and all that stress.

I really don't miss anything about school quite honestly.

In HS the semester ended in January, so I remember having to spend time over Christmas break studying and catching up on stuff I was behind on. Wasnt really stressful for me, though I'm probably using revisionist history lol. Remembering the good, burying the bad deep in my head.

I think I'm probably talking more elementary school than high school in terms of the afternoons. I'm starting to remember science class taking up my afternoons in my final 2 years of HS, how I hated the class, but loved the location since it was right next to the exit door which was closest to the road I took home lol.

I dont miss much about school either. I haven't spoken to 99.9% of people I went to school with since graduation lol(I think they're all still friends, so I'm like the 1 person who actually cut ties). I miss some classes I took like music class(it was actually fun, and just being in that class never felt like school in a good way. A nice escape from the rest of the school day). But obviously theres parts I loved and would want to live again, and other parts where I dont even want to think about it. I definitely experienced the extreme highs and lows of school.

This particular pleasure is one of those rarities that works as a gear grinder too: gas going up by at least a dime in one day.

the weird thing about gas prices is you're really only saving a couple bucks, but you feel like a boss

people will line up down the street to feel like a boss

That's how I feel about people at Costco.

Lining up for who knows how long just to save maybe a few dollars to fill up on gas. Every time I go there I see a traffic jam of cars all waiting as if gas is given out for free.

4 day weekends, all-day Thursday football, and rivalry weekend in college football. this is the single best weekend of the year IMO. some of us will think we died and and went to Heaven. cant wait to be sitting on the couch tomorrow night watching Saints-Falcons stuffed to the gills.

Was able to go golfing in Pennsylvania on December 26th in short sleeves for an entire round.

Beautiful day to be on the course and certainly a pleasure of life.
