The precious hour between getting off work and the time everyone else comes home from work/school. Typically spent with a cold drink and a video game.

That happens so very rare in my house. I get home to an empty house, rush to get into some comfy clothes, grab some snacks and drinks, flip on the PS3 and I hear the car pull into the driveway. Every time!

Oh god I know. I usually get my hour once or twice a week. Most of the time it works exactly as you describe.

In order to get my PS3 fix I usually have to play around midnight and onwards. I pay for it the next day as I'm dead tired.

The first glass of whiskey from a new bottle of Jack Daniel's, I will go to my grave swearing the first glass poured tastes better a just a bit different then every other glass in the bottle.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Easily eclipsing hitting the ball over the 300 feet mark. Wood bat.

The high school baseball coach was right, I can't hit.
