Is it socially acceptable for men to own cats?

thoughts? I have a cat and I'm a man. I also have a dog. I also think cat behavior is very fascinating. A lot of people I have talked to think it's odd for a man to own a cat. thoughts?

I never used to be a cat person but my girlfriend has a cat and I love that cat to death even if she has a "take it or leave it" personality when it comes to me LOL. I also find cats to be fascinating in how they act and react to certain things.

As long as you're not going all baby talk on the kitty I think it's ok.

My brother in law from Boston is a cat lover and makes cat condos. His wife and him own 2 cats. Know quite a few men who own cats. Besides it is your house, do what ever the hell you want in your house. People don't like it then they can just stay in their own house and not come over to yours.

Hell if you want to knit and crochet, you can do that too.

I wish cats stayed as Kittens forever. Once they get older they get evil. But Kittens are great.

I'm partial to dogs, but my cat is one bad mother****er.. I have to respect his survival skills. My red nosed pit doesn't mess with him at all.. he knows better.

He's a squirrel and bird killing machine.

When he was a kitten, I used to put him on my shoulders and walk around and he would never even move or scratch me..
