Lol I think I mentioned a friend of mine with an ugly kid once in twitter. Baby looked like the dad. Problem is, if you put a little blood on his face, he looks like a zombie.

Soda is a Milwaukee thing, anywhere else in the state, it's pop.

Same with drinking fountain vs bubbler.

Bubbler in Milwaukee, drinking fountain everywhere else in the state.

      Weird.

I say pop and that's where I stand on that.

And regarding the earlier discussion about the appeal of Little League Baseball, this is all I could think of:

I am in your area and I absolutely refuse to refer to soft drinks as "pop." It just sounds so corny to me.

Anyway, my next "Uncommon Opinion" is that the so-called "American Dream" is an outdated ideology and that people in this day and age that think they are actually "living it" are delusional.

It's being made increasingly difficult, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist or that people aren't living it.

Maybe you'd like to have a chat with my parents.

(Here's my curmudgeonly post for the day, tongue planted firmly in cheek)

The internet and associated tech does more harm than good.

Good: You can reach out to anyone on the net, and find old friends!
Bad: Anyone can find YOU on the internet, including old enemies, exes, stalkers, and scammers.

Good: GPS can get you un-lost on your phone!
Bad: How many times have you nearly wiped out trying to follow it's directions in traffic or crowded streets?

Good: All of the news of the world at your fingertips.
Bad: Most of the news is sensationalized, or depressing. And everything gets blown up on the net, especially news that doesn't even deserve a mention. More stuff to worry about. Too much information.

Good: You can order anything on the web!
Bad: You get on the web, it's practically guaranteed you'll overspend beyond your means.

Good: Streaming music off the web rocks!
Bad: You and all the millions that are streaming media are hogging all the bandwidth. And killing radio stations. And killing CD sales and the music business (eh...the music biz kinda deserves it after raping artists all these years).

Good: You can find jobs online!
Bad: Unfortunately, many companies will only accept your resumes online instead of getting to make an impression in person like the pre-web days. HR hiring processes are becoming less about 'human' resources anymore.
              GO 'HAWKS!

It's better than all the millions out there who download music illegally. Those are the ones that are really killing CD sales and the music business. I have a friend that has 10k+ songs on his iTunes. Not one did he pay for.

Bubbler is NOT exclusive to Milwaukee. I'd say its mostly Eastern Wisconsin that rolls with bubblers
