I was JUST thinking this lol

      What's a PS3?

      A video game system.

      Oh so it's a Nintendo?

      No, it's a PS3.

      Yeah, it's a PS3 Nintendo system...

Anyway, this is part of my reasoning. Raising kids is such a crapshoot. I mean you can teach the right and wrong, morals and values, blah, blah, blah and they can still end up being Hell on Wheels (or even worse) once they become teenagers. I honestly don't know if I could deal with that.

Exactly. I'm 33 and my wife is 31. Neither of us have any kids. We don't really have much of a" support system" here because our families live an hour or more away from us. Perhaps if we did, I would feel differently, but since it's basically just us we would have to get up an hour or two early every day, take them to daycare, pay for daycare, take off of work when they are sick, take care of them once we get off work (feed them, bathe them, play with them, put them to bed, etc.) every day without any relief. Man, all of that just seems like one big "To Do" to me.

Give me my being able to go to dinner/movie, play video games, watch TV, go on vacations (outside of Disney World) whenever I want and I'm set.

Sorry for the rant, I certainly don't mean to offend anyone with kids. It's just that it's getting tiresome being asked when we're going to have babies on a weekly basis for the past six months or so. Then the few times that I've told the truth and said that we may not want kids, I'm looked at like I'm a freak or something.

That doesn't appeal to me at all. I randomly sit at home having music playing and playing a game. I'll randomly think, "I couldn't do this w/ kids or not as much". I have no desire to have time, money, or peace of mind when I get home taken away. Idk if this'll change and I'm not sure I want it to. That's a long 18 year commitment. I also don't want a kid w/ disabilities, abnormalities, turn out to be a slut, rebel, etc. best way to solve this is not to have any.
Shiz, you guys need to have the 'kids' issue settled before or if you get hitched, especially being at opposite ends of it right now.

Did you tell her that's where you at on the subject?

This. 100%. I just finished going through Catholic marriage prep in Arizona (bunch of classes and stuff where we learn) and if you don't talk about issues like this before marriage it can damage you from the start.

People really need to talk about these things and get on the same page before marriage. Getting married doesn't magically change things or make them easy/simple.

Yup. We're either gonna split or I'm gonna come around. I don't see me ever fully wanting kids. But I can see me being young and dumb for a little bit more and then settling down. She's known from the very beginning I have no desire, at the moment, to have kids.

I love all the "fat guys" comment about Nascar when Tony Stewart could be eaten by a NFL lineman or Pablo Sandoval in MLB.

Fat guys play other sports too...I know fat guys who drink beer while playing baseball, does that mean it's not a sport or athletic?

Anyone can swing a piece of wood, just like anyone can steer a car. All you do is stand there in baseball and swing at a ball, just like golf ;-)

I say pop, but will say coke when asking for a Coke. I don't refer to root bear as coke or something.

It is a big midwest thing. In college all the out of state people would fuel the soda/pop battles.

Facebook makes weeding out the mindless sheeple very easy.

                        Probably not uncommon.

Agreed on the Nintendo thing. I hear people saying that all the time when the topic of video games are brought up.

I also hate when sports announcers say "Its like a video game." or something similar when a player gets hot, or does something great. Apparently they think all sports games are NFL Blitz or NBA Jam.

How about the fact that some babies/small children are genuinely ugly?

All I hear is "OH MY LAWD, LOOK AT THAT CUTIE!"... All I think is "Holy hell! That poor kid hit every branch of the ugly tree on the way out.... I'm so glad I didn't create that!"

That being said, I would never VOICE that opinion... Except in private... lol

Now, as karma, I will end up fathering the world's ugliest baby. Wonder if I would still be objective if it were my kid.
