Re: Uncommon Opinions
I am in your area and I absolutely refuse to refer to soft drinks as "pop." It just sounds so corny to me.
Anyway, my next "Uncommon Opinion" is that the so-called "American Dream" is an outdated ideology and that people in this day and age that think they are actually "living it" are delusional.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
For the most part, in general anyway, people in the north say pop and people in the south say soda. Not always the case, but that is how it is in general. Just like some people say dinner and people in the south or people from more small town areas call it supper.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
While I am personally very happy to live where I live for the most part, this hasn't been the best country in the world to live in for quite some time for a variety of reasons. Some we can discuss here, some we cannot.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Well, I can't think of one better.
The notion of the American Dream exists. It HAS existed. You don't have to be from another country to realize that dream.
How long it exists is another question altogether, and one that cannot be elaborated on here.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
That doesn't mean it, or at least parts of it, cannot come true eventually. Obviously some dreams are more realistic than others.
