Maybe that's just me. And yeah, I live in Alabama, but my views are far from the stereotypical norm in this state... as I said, I don't mind them being whatever the hell they want to be, but it's a bit overbearing at times on campus when I'm walking or running. I have several gay friends, but they're respectful to me, just as my wife and I are in public.

You ask for an uncommon opinion. That may or may not be one.
    I'm with you on that.

I have no problem with homosexuality at all. My problem is the ones that do stuff that make you say something (like you said, being over affectionate in public) and than get pissed off at you saying something.

It's like a few people that I went to school with that dress or act in a way to make people talk about them, and than get pissed off whenever people talk about them.

I gotta agree with fresh on that one. Doesn't matter who is doing it, any sort of extreme displays of public affection make me uncomfortable.

No. Why? It's an opinion. I'm not being homophobic. I've actually had this same conversation with gay friends of mine that agree.

And I made a point to mention homosexuality because, as mentioned, when and if you bring it up, sometimes you're jumped for being homophobic, which just isn't the case.

Doesn't mean it has to spark a bad discussion...

It seems silly to me to make that distinction.

Maybe so. That's why I brought the discussion here. Like I said, I've discussed it with other friends, both straight and gay, and the opinions were pretty similar.

It all came up when we went to the movies and were sitting in the middle of the theater and these two guys were seriously making out in the middle of it. I don't know... awkward? Two grown men. Then after the movie, their PDA was taken just outside the theater and I even noticed that the security guard, while normally he'd say to anyone else to stop, was actually too nervous to say anything at all. So we just kept walking. That's what sparked the conversation.

But as said, sexual orientation shouldn't matter... yet sometimes it does because people are too nervous to say anything because it may be viewed wrong.

There's no need in ****ing up a good thread for everyone. Post it on Twitter or something. This isn't the place for that discussion at all.

A hamburger isn't a hamburger unless it's cooked "well done". And that's the bare minimum. Hell, if you're not flirting with burning the whole damn thing, you're not even trying. It's the complete opposite of a steak

Agreed. Aside from the fact that I don't really trust undercooked ground beef, it's just weird to eat a medium or under burger. It's just doing too much.

I'm going to kind of go back to the last page about rotating tires. I think anyone who pays for routine and easy maintenance on a truck or car instead of doing it themselves is, for lack of a better term, stupid and might as well wad up a ball of cash and throw it in a ditch somewhere.

Things like rotating tires, changing air filters, changing oil filters, fuel filters, changing spark plugs, changing the oil, putting on new brake pads, etc. all these simple, easy to do things and people go and pay a shop to do them.

I understand a lot of people don't know their way around a car, but the things I named are so easy that 10 minutes of looking it up on the internet will teach you how, and save a lot of money.

I like some char on my burger, but why would you want a dry, well done burger when you can have a perfectly cooked juicy hamburger ?

Agreed. No burger beats one with a nice crispy char while the inside is nice and juicy.
