Yeah, it's part of America's culture of cleanliness. When in reality, you can go months without washing a pair of jeans and they'll probably smell fine, while fitting really nicely.

Plus, if they smell, that's why the good lord made Febreeze with Gain scent.

I've had one pair of jeans for 3-4 years now and I've washed them less than 10 times.

If I just wear them to church or to a dinner, then I'll go 2-3 uses without a wash.

If I wear them to class,to a game, or sweat in them then after each use.


I think everybody has to have that one pair of jeans that they just love and are more comfortable than the others and you could sleep in them if you wanted.

Crazy...I wear a pair a week and then wash them...May try extending that to a month or so and see how it is and go from there.

Though summer's coming up so I don't really wear jeans much (so hot here). I'll have to try it this fall/winter though!

I have a pair of Levi's like this. They are almost at sweatpant level of comfortability. Same fit and size as another pair of Levi's I own, but they don't feel as comfortable.

I don't know about going months without washing my jeans.

I'll wear the same two or maybe three times without washing if I didn't use them for much, but a whole days wear usually means I'm washing them.

I like the fresh smell and I when I'm in jeans I'm usually outside around dirt, mud, fire, etc.

Hell, I've been on a kick where I wash my sheets on my bed once a week. I like the fresh smell and the comments from the gf are nice.

I have an office job, so my jeans don't get dirty. I typically wash after wearing them 3-4 times.

I only wash my jeans if they're visibly stained, clearly smell, or if I go somewhere nasty like a concert or something.

I keep a rotation of 7 pairs that get washed after the 2nd time wearing them. I'd feel dirty wearing a pair any longer than that without washing.

I do laundry once a week. So jeans go two, maybe three wears before going in the hamper. Khakis go one, maybe two wears.

I have a couple pair of comfortable jeans.

I'm rarely in them (I'll throw them on to go to the store and such, but once I'm back I'm right back in shorts/sweats) but even with heavy use back in the day...

Once every 3-4 months, unless (like others said) I go to a grimy place or they get stained.

Washing jeans too often just leads to discomfort and worse jeans overall, with more replacing. I've had these couple pair for 4-5 years now and they aren't going away any time soon.

I see it the other way. My favorite jeans are the ones I have had for a few years and washed several times.

Unless I spilled something on them I wear all my pants 2-3 times before washing them. If I go to the store or dinner and and absolutely nothing spills on them there is no point in washing them. I never do anything that makes me swear when wearing jeans either.

I wash jeans after 5-6 wears.

Reason being, I really only wear jeans probably twice a week, and when I do it's for less than 4-5 hours, so there is really no point, because they don't get dirty.

Only time I wash in between that is obviously if I spill something on them, which I haven't done in a while (jinxed myself) or if I go to the casino and they smell like smoke, which really they usually don't which is kind of odd now that I think of it lol
