Re: Uncommon Opinions
Yeah I don't even recommend shows for my friend because she doesn't actually set aside time to watch them, instead she puts them on like background noise while typing away on her phone or laptop. What's the point of that?
But sports, hell yeah, I love having multiple screens up. I pull the couch over to the PC and have a TV on either side. It's one of the best parts of football season, but doesn't really work in summer when my options are golf or LLWS crapWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Either way, the point stands. Who turns on the TV to watch another show at the same time they are watching a show on their laptop? Not really conducive to forming opinions on either, IMO.

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Dramas and stuff I try to not multitask during. I'll be on my phone or the PC during shows I'm not that into...Just depends on how important it is to pay attention to the show. A lot of shows it's not that important to 100% pay attention.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
A lot of shows are deceptively simple, but use other areas (eg: costume design) to create another layer. Mad Men comes to mind. I know not everybody likes things the same way, but I find shows more interesting when they have more layers to dig through and analyze.

Re: Uncommon Opinions
I have the hardest time not picking up my phone and browsing Twitter while watching a show or movie. Sometimes I purposely leave my phone in the other room because I have no self control and give in anytime the urge comes over me.Comment

- Dropping into 200+ feet of water.
- Dousing with gasoline and lighting it on fire.
- Smashing it with a sledgehammer.
- Using it as a target in shooting practice with an AR-15 and 5.56x45 rounds.
- Tying a chain around it, latching it to the bumper of a truck, and dragging it to work and back.
Hey.. whatever it takes to keep from watching that show.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
For me at least, its the people who watch it, and then attempt to use it as a relevant science resource. Its also one of the most horribly formulaic television shows I've come across, the backbone of each episode, is exactly the same. So in short its about the fans and the repetitiveness.Support Local Sports

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Like most shows it just spins it wheels after a complete season or 2. That's why I love the BBC shows. 4-6 episode seasons. Maybe multiple seasons - maybe not.
