The thing about Beats is that you can always find better headphones for the same or (much) lower price.

Beats just has the brand awareness.

I had beats before my audio technicas and there's nothing wrong with beats really except the price. They are priced too high for what you pay for. Kinda like Apple and Sony.

I really only use ear bud style heaphones.

I hear this a lot, but no one ever suggests any other brand. It may be that I don't see product on the shelf as much as some do back in the states. I've owned a pair of Bose at a similar price as the Power Beats are retail and they allowed too much noise to escape and didn't have the same mids and lows.

I also got both of my pair of Beats for damn near 50% off.. maybe that has something to do with my take on it ?

Yeah, getting Beats for 50% off isn't bad. They aren't terrible by any means, just terribly overpriced for what they are.

There is stuff like http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AIRUOI8/ (that you can find on sale at times too) if you want bluetooth earbuds.

It's a brand awareness thing though. Things like Bose/Beats always get more sales because they find their way into stores in prominent places and have the marketing hype, while better products go unnoticed because they aren't as widely distributed. It's the same with anything.

The PC headset I use isn't in stores that I've seen when I was looking for them, but overpriced stuff like Astros take up shelf space everywhere for the same reasons.

I've a pair of UrBeats and Power Beats 2 over the past two years and both have been really good to me. They obviously aren't top of the line in comparison to some other brands out there, but sound quality is really good.

I forget they are even Beats most of the time.

Sure everyone left in the early 2000s and most of them were/are stars, and it seems now like it was funnier back then, but all we remember are the really funny skits, the rest are kinda forgotten.

While I enjoy the entire series as a whole, I preferred It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia before Danny DeVito joined the cast.

That's how I feel about music. Sure there's great music from the 70s 80s 90s. But dear god there's some trash that is equal if not worse to the stuff on pop radio today. But some people will always argue music was better back then.

Not to turn this isn't a discussion about headphones, but..

I've always been skeptical about those. I bought a pair of lower end Jaybird BT headphones like that back in the summer for around $80 and they just weren't that good. I'm assuming those are all nicer. I wish I knew someone who had a pair I could test out.

Yeah, but the things that are on the radio now don't match the things that were probably on the radio then, mostly because of the genre shift.

Since we are talking about music, I will say that Kanye West's music is not as great as it used to be.

Don't think this is uncommon at all.

                            I'd say that's really common.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I hear ya. The constant marketing and obessive fans can make it easy to dislike the franchise, but that first movie is pretty fun on its own.
