This is me at night. My wife hates it cause I always pull and untuck all the sheets when I toss and turn.

no socks for me, I'm a hot sleeper, I can't even use a comforter or I'll wake up with leg cramps. I go with a fleece blanket and an afghan, with a box fan blowing on me

I need it to be as cold as possible when I sleep or I'll spontaneously combust

          Re: Uncommon Opinions

NBA halftime/NHL intermission would be better if they did something like mix in the entertainment happening for the live fans on the TV broadcast, or just do something besides just showing the 10+ min halftime/intermission report.

For instance, let's say during halftime there's a musical performance for the crowd. I'd rather see that than 15 minutes of analysis of what I just watched in the first half. I don't mean I'd rather that over Inside the NBA stuff, I mean on local broadcasts.

Same with NHL intermission reports. Since they have 2 of them, I don't care for analysis in both intermissions. One could be spent doing something else besides just watching a bunch of people talking who we've already seen in the pregame, other intermission, and postgame.

tbh I've always treated halftime during normal games at home as bathroom break and food/drink refill time.

What they should really do is show old episodes of "Coach's Corner" with Don Cherry during all hockey intermissions. I think CBC would be legislated out of existence if they did that in the current climate...

Yeah, I think that's most people. Although it's also a good time to check out what's happening with your secondary and/or tertiary programs (whether that be other games, random golf tournament, or "Old School" on TBS).

Coachs Corner is actually one of the only intermission things I ever watched.

Not that I agreed with everything he ever said, but I found it entertaining at least. It wasn't your typical generic intermission report.

NBA does this if you have League Pass.

They do that for halftime, TV and regular TOs.

This is semi-related but the other night Auburn had a home basketball game against Louisiana Monroe and it was only available on ESPN+. I was a little hesitant because I didn't want another subscription and the broadcast quality is usually lame with some bottom of the chain broadcaster. I decided to spend the money and just cancel the sub right away so I was paying for the 1 game and it turned out to be a great decision because they actually used the Auburn radio broadcast audio over their own video feed.

Now to my actual point here.. there were no commercials. They showed whatever was happening on the court, fan reactions/cam, a little kid's dunk contest, someone trying to win a scholarship, etc. When they took a TV timeout it was like you were just in the stands. I really enjoyed that for what it was.

They do that here for live minor league broadcasts too. Its basically just the commentator talking over the arena feed of the game, so during breaks you just get the fan cams and all that stuff.

Some soccer games that aren’t from the major leagues will show random shots of the crowd which is nice when it’s in certain South American countries [emoji102]

La Liga does some of that too. I swear they have a guy whose job it is to scout the crowd for top "talent" lol. Different countries, different cultures.

I wonder what it's like for the camera people in any sport when getting that assignment.

"Hey, we know you're busy filming the game, but can you pan away for a minute to some fans. You know, the ones who look like.....they're having a REALLY fun time if you know what I mean."

Oh no, that's gotta be an unspoken assignment. Just one of those skills you develop a feel for.
