As a Redskins fan I couldn't care less what happens with the name. Their tradition, to me, is more along the lines of under performing and eliminating any legitimate hopes of having a good team sustained over a long period of time. If that's the tradition they want to cling to then I don't really think changing or not changing the name is going to affect tradition.

It's right there with MVP 05 to me. It's such a shame those games never overlapped so we could export the guys from NCAA to the MLB draft in franchise mode.

I was so close to being in that game but our ridiculous AD actually denied the NCAA's request to put our school in. She ended up costing me tens of dollars from this EA lawsuit.

I agree about The Show. I'm getting bored with it. In my, what is most likely
uncommon opinion, I find the game to have gotten boring. I feel like not much has changed over the last few years. Also, Sony over-promising and under-delivering with the next-gen version left a sour taste in my mouth.

If EA left out a bunch of stuff in Madden that was on the fact sheet, or previously stated to be in the game, the world would burn. SCEA does it and people throw out the first year on next-gen excuse.

I would really like to see MVP come back.

MVP Baseball is to me, what NFL 2K5 is to a lot of people in this thread. Sure, the game was good. But it was nowhere near as good as people seem to remember.

It had one of the most unrealistic, and quite frustrating hitting systems. The game was fun and I enjoyed it a lot, but I feel like most people have that nostalgia factor about it much like 2K5.

Also, if they did bring it back, I don't think it would resemble anything near the game that people remember.

I'm way late on the Soccer/World Cup stuff/boring sports stuff, but just a couple things...

If you want to know more, ask. We've got a great BPL group here, with every major club covered well, as well as a lot of minor clubs, ask questions, and we'll come up with the best answers we can.

I've been a fan of the sport for awhile but really started dedicating myself to it after the NFL Lockout, now American sports + commercials are nearly unwatchable for me. Takes so long, a 90 minute soccer match can take 2 hours, while a 60 minute football game takes 3-3 1/2 hours.

Also, American Football fans are far and away the most insecure. So many places I've seen them derail threads/comments into how this sport isn't as manly as football, etc, etc. It gets really sad, really quick.

Also MVP 05 on PC still gets booted up once in a while. Still one of my favorites.

I would not say that I have gotten bored with The Show, but I will agree with you that the stuff left out that was on the fact sheet is very disappointing. I really think the entire presentation aspect of the game needs an overhaul. Music, overlays, etc. Gameplay is fine for me, but new presentation entirely would give it a breath of fresh air.

Summer break is too long and boring. I'm so glad I'm taking a summer class to kill some time. I bet it's more enjoyable when you're coming back from a university away from home, but I haven't got the chance to move away yet so it's basically just an abundance of time to kill. I need a new hobby or something.
