    Re: Uncommon Opinions

Not sure how uncommon this is, but hot beverages, whether it be hot chocolate, coffee or anything else, shouldn't be served as hot as they are.

Feels like it takes 20 minutes for it to cool down to a temperature cool enough to actually drink. I get if you're not drinking it for a while that's fine because you want it warm for longer, but if you're having it for lunch and now you're spending 20 minutes waiting for that to cool down, basically not having anything else to drink while you're eating since you're waiting on that one cup to cool down, it feels like a waste.

I drink them as soon as I get them. well, not drink, sip.
I dunno if it's common or uncommon,
but IMO hot beverages are better sipped

From a business/customer service standpoint I guess it's about weighing how many people will complain about it being too hot vs how many will complain its not hot enough. At least with it being too hot eventually it will be the right temp without it needing to be replaced. Not hot enough can't really be fixed. And everyone's idea of too hot is different. One person's 10 is another's 5. But enough about women.

Too bad it's likely not possible to adjust temperatures either.

I wonder if that'll be a feature in the future for those coffee/hot chocolate drink machines, specifically ones you see at workplaces.

You can choose cold, medium, warm, hot, and it can dispense a drink at that specific setting.

            but more about women:
            it's too bad two 5's don't equal a 10

Hey, two 5's may not equal a 10, but together they are a 10/10 experience.

reminds me of noodle cups that can't be microwaved, and you're supposed to boil water and add it to the cup and stir it up, and let it wait a couple minutes

**** that lol, boiled water is not humanly consumable that quickly, I'll put that cup in the freezer for a few minutes just to bring it down a notch, and by then your break is over anyway

There was one of those Charmin commercials on, with the bears. The dad bear was like "this toilet paper is too thin, I don't feel as clean!". Mom bear proceeds to bring out the Charmin.

My dude...if you're not 100% clean, and I mean 1-0-0 per cent...you need to hit the shower. Unless it's one of those rare immaculate sittings where you wipe and the toilet paper is bone dry. Other than that, a shower is needed. You need to be 100% my dude!

A random segue from that, but I love those commercials during sports games because they have a timer on them that let's you know the commercial is done in X seconds and as soon as it's done, the games back on.

More commercials/networks should do that, specifically if it's the final comnercial before the games back on. Knowing there's 15 seconds left before the games back makes me not channel flip one final time and actually just sit through the commercial.

Good idea, a win win for everyone. The TV chanels could charge the sponsors more for the last commercial back before the game, knowing that with a timer would bring in more eyeballs.

Amazon Prime Day is mostly a discount fabrication.

A lot of the shown "discounts" were there prior to Prime Day so an item that shows to be 45% off at $20 was still $20 a week ago.

That's not really an uncommon opinion, we all know that when it comes to many "sales".

That's why you buy what you need and know what good prices are beforehand.

If you want some $100 item, see if it's worth $100 beforehand and how much it usually is on sale, and when something like Prime Day happens, see if it's actually on sale at a better price than you can usually get it for.

I was very underwhelmed by Prime Day. Nothing that I was looking for was discounted much at all. I'm actually glad I didn't spend money just to spend money, which is the whole idea of days like that. They do a decent job of convincing you that you absolutely must buy something/anything on that day, otherwise you are a fool. Decent marketing.

The worst are stores which have "limited time deals" which expire midnight that very night.

They just reshuffle the same dozen "deals" every month.
