    Re: Official OS BBQ/Grilling Thread

This was actually my second attempt at skewers and it went cleaner and smoother and I was able to balance other things going on at once. I think my grill game is improving.

Chicken skewers with red pepper, green pepper, squash

    w/ a nice honey/soy sauce/ asian garlic marinade

Chicken breasts with a tad bit of memphis dry rub and some bold and spicy

grilled potatoes w/ onion, salt, pepper, and cheese

mac n cheese boiled beside me on the gas grill side.

    **** a stove.. I don't need it.

Also had a little Sunday Night Football going on with the Chromebook.

I'll be sure to post pics!

I TOTALLY forgot to take pics. Kinda hard to remember when 9 of your best friends are in your backyard drinking and jokin.

But I grilled up some burgers, Italian beer brats, 2 filets, a chicken breast, a strip steak and 4 habanero links.

We drafted for about 2 hrs, dranks lots of beer and made fun of former team owners and a current one that was still swimming in the rancid grain alcohol left in his blood stream from his all day bachelor party the day before!

        Good times!

I haven't had the chance to grill the past 2 weeks or so. I'm having withdrawals despite all the free food from family things.

My parents came over for my birthday on Saturday, and I just made burgers. Forgot to do a pic, but wasn't crazy. Just simple burgers and they did tomatoes and everything inside while I grilled. Probably won't be doing anything new/nifty in a while?

I'm gonna try and do shrimp this weekend with some corn on the cob and salad. I've also been meaning to do a pizza the past couple of weeks, but month two of Insanity is eating up my dinner fixin' time during the week. *fingers crossed*

Its not like I've haven't been eating well. My gf's mom showed us how to do shrimp and grits and that was pretty epic.

I'm trying to decide wha I'm rolling out for Saturday. I thought about doing steak skewers this time around, more potatoes, cheddarwurst, and then maybe just grill a pan full of veggies.

I want to perfect the potatoes. They were good, but could have been better.

Did you grill them in that aluminum pan?

I've had great success making a pouch with aluminum and venting the top with a fork.

I've used this recipe several times this summer and I can't recommend it enough. Pretty simple and easy clean up.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to potatoes, but it doesn't get much better than this. Potatoes, cheese and herbs wrapped in a foil parcel to keep in all the deeply delicious flavor. They're perfect for any celebration..time and time again.

I would cut them lengthwise into wedges, rub them in olive oil and season them and put them directly on the grate.

I use a disposable tray when grilling potatoes. We usually do pre-prepped rosemary potatoes (the smaller circle ones cut in half, with rosemary on them). We found it at the store and is fresh but saves us prep time.

I just put oil in the tray and throw all the potatoes on. I usually turn them once or twice to get them a little cooked on different parts. I should probably just coat the potatoes themselves rather than in the tray, cause it pools in the tray and can burn them if I'm not careful.
