Yeah. The first box from my case of Topps 2013 series one. I think it was 6 HTA boxes in it.

So what boxes are you guys buying? I'm dying to buy a box that will have a high chance of a rare insert.

Well that would be the high end boxes. National treasures and such, for the rare insets. Remember, that's what everyone hopes for - the odds are pretty low.

Last I checked that auction was at 880k. If there isn't a flurry of bids to close it out, they are gonna be 'disappointed' with a 1.5mil sale... I know they were hoping for a couple at minimum.

That's why I gave up the game. Stopped being fun for me when you'd buy a box of cards, get crappy inserts, and just be completely unhappy with it all....

Those jersey cards and whatnot look awesome though!

Re: Official OS Sports Card Collecting Thread

I currently have over 30K baseball cards primarily from 1985 to 1995.
I have some older and some newer, but those are the primary years I collected, as did most collectors my age.

NOW, every year for the past 7 years, I buy my son a complete set of Topps Baseball Cards for his birthday. I will continue this until he is 18 and on his 18th birthday, I will present him with 18 complete sets of cards from 2006 to 2024. He will have approx 12K cards unopened and complete along with whatever ones he collects along the way. Plus, he will inherit my 30K+.

                  Nice.

Maybe one day I will have a son to pass a card collection on to... Isn't that part of the American Dream?

                  If not, it should be.

It's more likely that you didn't... but check the ones you got to see if you got any SP (short print) cards.

Here's a link with all the SP variations (with pictures) from that series. http://www.cardboardconnection.com/2...t-prints-guide

I opened a few packs today of 2013 topps as well, the best thing I got was the Mike Trout out of bounds SP.
