Re: Off Topic 2014
Are credit card companies forgiving at all in terms of lowering interest rate? My friend ran hers up during college and before landing a full time job. Now is in the same boat as a lot of people where the interest rate makes it almost impossible to pay off. Any tips?Comment

Threaten to cancel unless you get a lowered interest rate. However that would go into effect on future purchase not the current balance. Another option (One I did) was to get a loan from a third party. They offer significantly lower rates. I used One Main Financial and got 6% vs the 24% on the credit card I had. They cut the credit card company a check and basically take over the balance. If it was Discover, she better pay it off ASAP because Discover is quick as hell to send stuff off to the court house and collection agencies. I knew so many people who graduated college who ended up with court summons from Discover Card being past due.Are credit card companies forgiving at all in terms of lowering interest rate? Couldn't she go to her bank and see if they have any credit cards with a transfer balance option? I know a lot of places will give you interest free for a bit on balance transfers.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: Off Topic 2014
He didn't say she isn't paying it, the problem is that the interest is making the minimum payment so high that by just paying the minimum you aren't paying the actual balance down at all.
This is an excellent suggestion.Comment

Capitol One sent me nothing when my card maxed out and I didn't learn until I tried to buy a car. The worse part was that I had my account set to autodraft and it just magically stopped autodrafting one day. It was my own fault though, I always make sure to pay my CCs now.Comment

Pretty sure you have to go to a doctor because there are two types. Bacterial and viral. If it's bacterial, you'll need antibiotics.
It can be pretty damn contagious too, so stay your *** home otherwise.Comment
