I personally think it's a terrible idea. I'm just not a fan of airing my personal problems on a reality TV show and I don't think any good will come of it.

Serious response: I'm not too sure going on national TV and exposing these problems is going to work in the long term especially if Dr. Phil falls on your side of the story (the most logical side IMO) because then the parents may just become so bitter and even more estranged than they seem to be right now. There has to be a better way to confront them but perhaps this might actually wake them up, I dunno.

I personally wouldn't go on the show knowing that it's going to be a confrontation situation. If they've already dug in their heels, not much good will come from it. A national pile-on will just make it worse in the long term.

Man, I don't know about going on national TV. It could drive a wedge between you and your fiancé if she doesn't like how the taping goes.

I think if you present a united front, you should be fine. I'm sure Dr. Phil will be on your side, so you should enjoy watching him grill your soon-to-be in-laws.

You have to work OS into the show if you go.
