Probably should have gotten some more reps in with her, but we can work with it.
Just go up to her, grab her hand, and quickly put it down your pants. Either she'll be disgusted by your gesture or she'll be impressed by your confidence and/or something else.

You're probably ****ed, then. I feel like you need regular interaction for this to become something. If she's basically a girl you know from school but don't actually really know her, I dunno how you're gonna break into her life. Though I guess if she's following you on Twitter, you exist. That actually could be a first step, even though 99% of the time it means nothing and you were just a tap of the screen or click of a button.
I'd probably just straight up ask her on a date... Movies, lunch, a concert, etc. You're young so your options are limited.
Having a girlfriend isn't even that cool. We all felt that pressure growing up, but in a few years, you'll be wondering why you so desperately NEEDED a girlfriend.

Try and find out what she likes doing. You should have at least a few things in common to make this even worth the effort.
In the end, you're just going to have to ask her to hang out. Don't make it a big deal to the point where you're nervous leading up to it, but don't be wishy-washy either. Girls like a guy that is confident (not necessarily cocky or conceited) and can make her laugh.

I'm sorry if this comes off mean but it's really sad when guys are asking "how to get a girl friend" over a message board. Take it how you want but you have to develop more confidence and the only way to do that is putting yourself out there. If it feels intimidating at first and scares you then you are doing the right things.
My point is this message board or anything else on the Internet won't help you get a girl friend. You have to learn through falling down and trying again on your own!
