Is this what social media and the internet has done to the younger kids these days?

Nobody knows how to approach women, ask girls to prom, yadda yadda?

Just ask her out. She either says yes or no.

Not trying to be a jerk but sometime you just gotta sack up in life.

My 15 almost 16 year old son is deaf and as a result, lacks the usual social skills of someone his age and he had no problem asking a girl to prom(regardless of the fact that he wasn't old enough to go.)

So there is this really cute girl that I have had a crush on for a while, but she has had a boyfriend. She has a really nice personality and she is the best looking girl in the school. Well, recently she broke up with her boyfriend (I know its not good to be the rebound but YOLO), and I wanted some advice/tips that you guys have since a lot of you guys are older and have more experience.

BTW I'm a sophomore in HS and the girl is a sophomore as well.

Write her a poem and tell her that you love her and that you can't go on living in this life without her at your side. Maybe add a tear for dramatic effect. Also, buy roses and kneel down when you ask her.

Ah, hell, just buy her an 18-karat diamond ring and propose marriage to her during lunch. I still recommend a few tears. Also, grow a beard, as suggested. Then give her flowers and carry her out of the cafeteria and throw her into your McLaren F1 and drive away into the sunset.

In all seriousness though, the only thing you can do is just tell her how you feel to her face and see what happens. Rejection is a part of life. We've all gone through it at some point. You never know until you ask. You may be surprised. If she responds positively, great. If she doesn't, there will be plenty of girls that come into your life.

How recent is recent ? A month ago or a week ago ? That is pretty important. Another pretty import piece of info is if her ex go to the same school as you do and what grade he is in. You would want to do some recon work to see what kind of guys she normally dates and what kind of guy her ex was.

So slide in casually, trying to be her friend first, do your recon work, which should take you no longer then 2 days to do. If all is good, move in for the kill. But definitely do your recon work first. I saw some dudes get their *** whooped by ex boyfriends for moving in on their ex GF too fast after the break up. So keep that in mind.

Her and her ex broke up about a week ago, and her ex goes to the same school and is in the same grade. I also know that she dates soccer guys, so I'm in luck lol

My guess is that it's a parental discretion kind of thing. I know that my parents didn't let my brother go when he was a sophomore last year (well, what actually happened is that he didn't want to go with the girl and used that as an excuse, but potato-potatoh.).
