I urge you to check the world rankings. You might be surprised to see that American's are from from dominant in the overall field of golf.

If 5 in the top 10,and 16 of top 25 doesn't count as dominant,then what does?

And last time I checked,Tiger Woods was also from USA,and during his prime days,I did see alot more golf coverage.

And on a slightly lesser note, The Players', PGA Championship, and The Open (British Open) all get decent air time as well. And occasionally the Ryder Cup.

Other than the Masters every single golf tournament is on every weekend with morning coverage on the golf channel and then which ever network is covering the finish.

There is nothing occasional about the Ryder Cup. Every hole of that is covered but it alternates years with the Presidents Cup.

Numbers games are fun to play and easy to manipulate and that was not my point at all.

4 of the top 7 players are international players. Your initial post that started this entire discussion was that American's enjoyed and watched golf more because we were more successful at is it factually incorrect. You just can't deny that.

Unfortunately for NHL, it won't get to be on a main channel often. Even if NHL had a deal with ESPN, you know games would be on ESPN2 or something instead. Even the world cup of hockey which is gonna be on ESPN, I highly doubt any non USA games will be on ESPN(Canada,Russia,Sweden will be on ESPN2,rest of countries on ESPN3 probably)

NHL needs to do better job with TV scheduling. Saturday is the big night for hockey in Canada, so why not have at least 3 Canadian teams play on Saturday(one in afternoon,one in evening,one at night)? Right now they just have an evening game(almost always Toronto) and a night game(featuring one of the western teams). Spread it out more and have 3 games saturday all day!

And in USA, they need to have some sort of deal where there's at least 1 game a week on NBC. And don't make it like NBA where just a few teams get those games. Instead of the usual Boston,Pittsburgh,Chicago,New York stuff they seem to do, why not feature other teams like Tampa,Anaheim,St.Louis?

It's a ratings game man, if they lose money on sponsorships why bother?

I've been following the French Open on dish channel 400 because nobody else cares. NBC has the weekend stuff because there's no major sport to compete with, although I'm pretty sure NHL WCF game 7 is the NBC game tomorrow night

I saw Norfolk & Western 611 on its way through this area a couple times earlier this morning (caught it at Browns Summit and NE of Reidsville). I'll post the video when it's done uploading, for those that are into trains. I hadn't ever seen a steam locomotive on a mainline before in person, so it was cool! I'm not a huge fan of the look of streamlined steam locomotives, but it was still very neat.

It's the first time it has run since 1994 (it was initially retired in 1959, but it was brought back out for excursion service from the early 1980s until 1994), but it was brought back out of service as part of Norfolk Southern's new "21st Century Steam" program after being refurbished at Spencer Shops near Salisbury, NC (where the NC Transportation Museum is). Tonight's excursion left from Spencer, NC and its destination was Roanoke, VA (where it will be reunited from some other former N&W power, though I think 611 will be the only running locomotive on display). It will start doing regular excursions across Norfolk Southern trackage in early June, I believe.

It's weirder to think that in their careers, Buster Posey, Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Pablo Sandoval, and Madison Bumgarner have never before lost a playoff series.
