Off Topic 2015

Where did you married fellas buy your rings from? I have a very specific picture in my head and was just curious. I'd like some type of Celtic design ideally.

Gordon's in person. Engagement and wedding bands.

None of the three were that expensive or fancy, but we get comments on them all the time. They're just simple and elegant.

I had never bought jewelry before so I had no idea what to expect price-wise so when it only came to a couple hundred per ring, my wallet smiled.

We went together to pick them out, for what it's worth.

To continue on the topic I was talking about...

Anyone buy clothes(like t-shirts,long sleeve stuff) from Amazon? I'm thinking of doing so cause many one I see and like,are like 25% of the price of similar looking stuff I'd see in stores.

Main issue of course being that I don't get to see or try on what I'm buying so I'd have no idea if it fits at all. Cause sites might say medium or large or small or whatever,but seems like each brand might have slightly diff definitions of what each size is.

I'm not one of the married, don't even have the ring in had yet, but I ended up at a local bay area jeweler I was referred to. Setting selection was huge, personal attention is great, couldn't beat the prices for the rock since he gave me a no tax paying with cash deal. Did a lot of online window shopping at Blue Nile before going into any brick an mortar store. I've been looking at going celtic for my wedding band.

Leads me to a question for the married. How many of you wear a band? If not, why? Just not a ring guy? Job makes it no bueno?

I wear a simple band.

Never wore jewelry let alone any rings before I got married.

Coming up on a year now, and it feels second nature. Only time I take it off is to take a shower or if I'm swimming.

I hate carrying pizza boxes in public.

There's a pizza place two minutes from my apartment, so I sometimes pick up a pie there. I hate carrying it back in public. It's the worst.

Now North America has mostly personal recycling, but where I am for now that is not the case. Recycling is done by carry recyclable materials to large containers (for lack of a better word) on street corners. Pizza is deliverable, but you have to carry the box in public to recycle.

Maybe it's just me. But you get the little looks. "Look at that guy, eating pizza. Fancy. Fat." Etc, stuff like that. Maybe I'm pizza paranoid or hyper-pizza-sensitive, but it's terrible.

Just had to recycle three boxes. Gonna go take an aspirin. Not really. Some pizza would be nice, though.

If it's only 2 blocks I wouldn't mind it alot,but I'd imagine it'd be annoying walking in public having to hold the box a certain way so the pizza doesn't move around in the box. Which would be harder to do if you're walking on a sidewalk and other people there too so you'd need more space to walk(which they might not really give you)

Where are you now? I'm not surprised at your story at all, though. Usually how it goes in places such as you described. Try to shame you into not eating it, etc.

As for pizza with white sauce, it's delicious. All pizza is.
