Re: Things that took you way too long to realize....

There's a Jason Marsden and James Marsden and they aren't even related.

I remember a J___ Marsden from Boy Meets World (playing a character with his same name) and couldn't remember if it was James or Jason.

Then I see Sonic had James Marsden as the lead and figured that's who it was since I heard the Marsden from Boy Meets World has been doing well acting wise for himself since the show, so for the 3 movies I've thought the guy I was watching was the actor from Boy Meets World....then found out its NOT him and it's not even his brother or anything either.

I knew they were different people, but I thought they were brothers. Who knew?

This exchange sent me Wikisurfing, where I just learned far too late Michael and Virginia Madsen are siblings. Don't know how I never made that connection before today.

Outer space is only roughly 62 miles away, making it closer to me than the stateline. Theoretically, I could get to outer space quicker than I could travel to buy lottery tickets.

Something I just heard, tv shows/movies couldn't sing happy birthday (without paying for the rights to use it the same as any song) until about 10 years ago!

It's why some shows have their own birthday song/version or it just gets cut off halfway through.

Can't believe a song as recognizable as that wasn't actually some sort of generic public domain song.

And Warner Music had to pay back fourteen million dollars in royalty fees they had previously collected that they weren't legitimately entitled to. Should have been in the public domain years before it was finally recognized.

Samuel L Jackson is called Samuel L Jackson because there was another Samuel Jackson in the screen actors guild.

I known of obvious ones like Michael B Jordan, and somewhat lesser known ones like Michael (Douglas) Keaton, but somehow never put 2 and 2 together and realized that's why people call him Samuel L Jackson.

Baseball hitters striking out and looking back at the pitcher, like sizing up his antics after the strikeout. Nope, turns out they just check the video replay en route to the dugout

for the longest time I thought this was just a baseball thing, you get struck out, you take a few steps and look back at the pitcher

When I was little I thought everyone hated each other in sports.

Like you're on a team, so you hate every single person on the other team and they're not your friends.

Then I saw a guy get on 1st one time and between pitches he'd be talking and laughing with the first basemen and I felt so betrayed seeing my teams 1B talking with the opponent.

When I found out FedEx and UPS drivers don’t get in to fistfights when they pass each other, that’s when my whole world shattered.

Personally I was riding for the darkhorse DHL but…

that's probly how porch pirates began! we think it's a bunch of thieves scheming to steal packages, instead it's a battle of delivery services scheming against each other!
