I only recently realized you can twist off a beer bottle cap instead of using a bottle opener.

Make sure to check before fully committing! That works on most, but not all.

      Tears up the hand, lol.

My first job was as a server in a pizza/Italian shop that had a sit-down section. I remember after a shift one night wondering where these very small cuts were on my palm.

I always test the first bottle by using my shirt as a buffer. If it spins, we’re all clear. If not, at least my hand doesn’t hurt.

I somehow managed to do something similar on a bottle of champagne a couple months ago that had a sharp plastic stopper top. Always been a little bugged out with contents under pressure, lol.

          Angry Orchards...

When I was in college I worked at a Buffalo Wild Wings, and I was told what the OP said. All beer bottles are twist!

They indeed... are not! I had so much blood coming from my hands, it sucked [emoji23]

Even twist caps sometimes are almost impossible to twist off.

Ctrl + Backspace/Delete on a keyboard removes words one at a time.

I think I can find a way to take more advantage of this as an overall when necessary.

You can order replacement parts for free from Ikea.

Never realized this was a thing. To be fair, never really had minor things from Ikea break before (at least not anything really in hindsight that would be eligible for the free replacement part that I can think of, but maybe there have been things I've thrown away or bought screws/other small things to fix it).

I always assumed the emergency phone number 911 had been around longer from way before the Porsche 911 was introduced. But apparently I assumed wrong.

I never realized the goodness of ranch as a dipping sauce for certain things, like pizza or garlic twists. In fact, I really used to dislike it.

I've turned a complete 180 on that, however. Long live ranch.

I've never hated certain kinds sauces, but I never knew how many different/good tasting ones there were out there. The more I try the more I realized how many good ones there were.

Jalapeno Cheddar flavoured anything is great.

When I found out I could buy chipotle sauce at grocery stores was a game changer too.

Apparently drinking something hot when you're hot can help to cool you down?

It raises your body temp which makes you sweat more which helps to cool you down.

The science might back it up, but I'll stick to my cold drinks and frozen treats over hot stuff.

Just to even make it more simple. If you're hot, make yourself sweat.

Haven't necessarily heard of drinking warm things for that, but there are major benefits to drinking warm drinks. Gut health being up there!

Still better just having cool stuff because how often can you (depending where you live). If you have 4 seasons, winter you're obviously sticking to hot stuff, spring/fall is just whatever you want, summer is the time for cold stuff.

Sweating is obviously a good way to cool down, but who likes to sweat, especially publicly?
