We finally got all our decorations up, tree is standing but not yet decorated. It will be interesting to see how our kittens will react to all this. This will be their first Xmas. One of the kittens have already scaled the wall and was dangling off one of the advent calanders and pulled one of the bells off the tassel.
When I moved in with my wife, she had a kitten named Franklin. Franklin was not trained well and would climb the Christmas tree. Then I came into the picture. Franklin is now my best bud and doesn't climb the Christmas trees. Moral to this drawn out story. MOTION SENSOR SPRAY CANS!!! We bought them at the pet store. We put them at the base of the tree, and when he walked up to the tree he would get sprayed. It worked perfectly. Now he lays under the tree and does not destroy it. I am the kitten whisper.

Speedy, yeah they accumulate so quickly. Everyone knows I love Christmas so they give me so much stuff.

      Extreme,

Beautiful set up man. I love the wreath in the centre. Perfect.
I am the lesson after the fall.

My wife and I went and saw the movie The Night Before. It was funny and festive. At one point I looked over and my pregnant wife was laughing and cry uncontrollably. Too funny. Now we are watching one of my favourite Christmas movies, The Muppet Christmas Carol.

I'm not a "Christmasy" person, but one thing I do every year is watch the one and only Christmas themed episode that The Twilight Zone ever made called, "Night of the Meek" starring Art Carney. It's pretty awesome.

I got my PTO approved. I work the 18th and don't go back until Jan. 4th. That's the longest break I've had since college.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

My absolute favorite time of year. Really, starting Oct. 1 through Jan. 1 is just complete bliss, but November through Christmas especially. So much so that I honestly get slightly depressed as it gets closer to coming to an end, lol.

Christmas music, lights, food, shopping, festivities, etc... I love it all.

My house has been decorated since the first week of November

                    Yes, yes it is.

Super long break. Baby niece visiting for Christmas. One of my best college buds is talking about visiting. I'm pretty pumped for Christmas now.

Enjoy your time off. What a great time off year to have that amount of time off.

I get Post Christmas Blues after the holidays too, but that's for later. I absolutely love this time of year. Christmas music 24/7 except when I'm at the gym.

                            Re: Christmas 2015

I'm late on the thread, so to catch up to everyone else's discussion:

-I can't listen to Christmas music yet. I actually avoid it as much as possible until after Thanksgiving. It can even be Thanksgiving night, just as long as the "event" of the family get-together is over I'm clear.

-Underrated favorite Christmas album might be Jewel's "Joy" album from 99. I think she had another Christmas album a few years ago, but never really checked it out.

-Probably putting lights up outside this weekend. Weather looks good so I might as well take advantage. Don't really do anything big. Icicle lights on the gutter, net lights on the bushes. Wanted to get some rope light for the deck but money's been tight so it got pushed to the backburner. I'll probably just use an old strand of lights.

-I get a little of the post-Christmas blues as I've gotten older (30 now), but nothing too bad. My siblings range from 31-19 so we're all old enough where it's not the wow factor of getting a cool toy when we were younger. I like giving gifts though, so that helps make up for it. My sister might be coming in this year with her two kids (2 years and 1 year old) so that should liven things up if she's able to.

-Good call by 55 on the Twilight Zone episode. I'll have to pull out the Blu-rays and watch that one this weekend.

If the weather is nice I am putting up my decorations outside on Saturday. Always like the day I do that.
