So they're never okay then? That's what my experience has been. They've never been fried long enough when I've had them.

I'm just glad that Sidney Rice exists and his Wingstop restaurant has been there to fulfill all my wing needs. Though I don't forgive them for killing of the Spicy Korean BBQ flavor. It was magical.

I mean usually no. Then I start channeling my inner Liam Neesom when calling them like a scene out of Taken everytime I order...

"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for patience, I can tell you I don't have any. But what I do have are a very particular set of tastes, tastes I have acquired over a very long career. Tastes that make me a nightmare for servers like you. If you let my wings go soggy, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't fry my wings to a correct crispness, I will look for you and your cook, I will find you, and I will kill you."

There hasn't been a post in the neighborhood for over 6 hours so not that I have anything to add but I just wanted to break that silence as I've never seen it.

I'm #blessed to be living inside the Pluckers footprint. BWW, Hooters, and Wingstop all exist down here but I have no reason to subject myself to the struggle.

This past weekend, voters in McKinney, Texas approved a bond for their new 62.8 million dollar high school football stadium.

Why does a high school need a 62.8 million dollar football stadium?

If you have that much money to spend how about spend it towards the education of our young people?

Because high school football in parts of Texas might as well be big time college football. It obviously draws a lot of passion as well as revenue to be willing to invest that kind of money that does nothing for education.

I don't mind, I'm sure the board of directors or whoever voted on it. They have the means and want to build it, **** it, build it.

I don't think the school district would approve or allocate that absurd sum of money to go to only one schools stadium within their district. So I'm guessing it's some rich alum or body of alums/supporters that are funding it.

It reminds me of the one big money high school stadium that had to have 10 mil + put into it due to cracked concrete.

I understand that football in Texas is huge, but my question remains why does a team need a $62.8M stadium? I don't care who is funding it, imo the money could used elsewhere and for the better.

Yea you can't justify a public school spending that kind of money on a stadium. Even it's going to be used for other events like they have mentioned. And it is being paid for by the town not some rich alumni. In March the school board voted on deciding to pass this bond or not. And I'm guessing they did as of where we are today.

But this is part of a $220 million bond proposal as well.

"Other big projects include band hall expansions at Evans and Cockrill middle schools and McKinney Boyd High School.

There’s also a plan for the district’s oldest high school to get a new auditorium and acoustics. McKinney High School’s auditorium currently seats about 500 — about half the capacity of auditoriums at McKinney North and McKinney Boyd high schools.

Remaining funds are targeted toward renovations at Glen Oaks and Valley Creek elementary schools, land purchase and planning for a new elementary school, a new maintenance building and transportation station, and technology updates, including a program that gives all entering freshmen a laptop."

That is from an article I read on this bill. So I guess I can't be too mad as they are spending money to improve other areas instead of just a new stadium. But still I can't justify spending that type of money on a new football field.

I'm not the best at conversation or talking to folks but today, I was asked to help a colleague in Texas setup some reports so we had a Skype meeting/conference call.

There were several awkwardly long silences after I asked a question or he was navigating/doing something...not to mention the guy kept mumbling.

They are using some of the bond money to better other things. If they can afford it and the voters are okay with it I don't see the big problem. That's what school bonds are used for.
