Yeah, i found it shortly after posting, but for is seems i'm not allowed to know exactly what they are. I was slightly hoping someone might break the veil of secrecy :P

OT just aint what it used to be.

As a former OS OT Post Champ, 18 is a weak number in the month of May.


It wasn't even about padding posts either.. this thread used to be something else. It definitely got me through the work day when I was a car Salesman. I'm sure I sound like an old man talking about his youth.

I've seen tents fly through campgrounds and across lakes before but flying trampolines is new.

Pretty common here. Girl I'm good friend's with at work lives south of here a ways where it's mostly farmland. If she doesn't have it staked down or tied to a tree, it blows away pretty easily with the gusts we get here. Doesn't take much when nothing breaks the wind. She had to drag it across her yard or from her neighbor's yard 3 or 4 times already this year.

So just had a pretty cool thing happen. Vida Blue and Bill Laskey host a radio show on weekends here in SF before/after Giants games, and Laskey talked up a legendary high school softball coach over here named Jim Liggett (holder of over 1000 career wins). I had coached alongside Liggett for three years, so I called in to give him a secondary shout-out.

Well, having known Laskey through softball, what turned into a nice little honor for Liggett ended up being an interview to me! Bill Laskey started talking about my high school softball team, saying he's been following us, spoke of my sister who he coached against, my late father and also some words about my mom. He asked me questions and I had about an eight minute segment with them.

Hopefully there is an archive somewhere that I can access. I thought it was magnificent that he gave me the time of day on a massive sports talk radio station. Very, very cool.

I bought an ARRIS SB6183 modem at Target for $99 this afternoon because I'm tired of paying TWC a $10 fee for their modem.

Unfortunately...dummy me didn't realize my new found toy doesn't have a phone adapter. I called TWC and had them switch the internet to my new modem and keep the phone on the old modem (thus getting rid of the $10 fee).

I found an old TWC cable splitter and rather than using it with the cable that goes to my internet modem (and thus lose speed), I used it with the cable box in our living room as I had a spare phone jack near the TV I never use.

Took me 6 HRs of various trial/error but I'm quite proud of my workaround solution and eventual savings.

If you get an opportunity to eat at Texas de Brazil, take it. One of the best meals I've had in a long time.
