Also, and I don't know what standard practice is, the fee to cancel a check is kind of ridiculous. I once had to cancel a $250 or so check that got lost in the mail and the fee was like $32. I also recently found out that there is a $3 fee for viewing signed deposit slips deposited into your account on their online banking website. So, yeah, bank fees are gear grinding.
I've been very happy with PNC thus far.

Yeah, that may be, but I do not have a lot to compare it to. One annoying thing was that I couldn't change my address online, though I don't know if other places might be like that, too.

It's great. They have pretty much no fees. They repay your ATM fees. They have that take a picture upload your check thing. You get paid early. I had Chase before them and I have never regretted it.

What's the longest you guys have gone between interview and being hired? I'm approaching a month and it's getting harder not to freak out about it . Normally I wouldn't stress too much but I need to get this in order to get some experience in the field before I try moving to Baltimore within the next 18-24 months, and it'd be a decent pay increase.

Interesting. I may have to look into that, although I've not had any problems with BB&T.

I graduated with my M.A. this month, and I had a buddy who graduated in December go around a month and a half between his interview and getting hired, I believe. I thought that was kind of long, but some places really lolly gag with their interview process, it seems like.

For the job I got it took around a week and a half, but that was probably on the quick side. Some organizations are quicker than others. Perhaps if you know someone who works there, you could ask them how long it took for them?

But, yeah, the time between your interview and hearing back is quite a tense time! Every email that comes in you want to check immediately because it could be them! Or every phone call! (or at least that's how I felt)

Anyways, I start my job on Monday. I am tense because of that now!

Have you called them to follow up? You should be doing this at least once a week in most cases.

Looking to be the worst Preakness day in quite some time.

It is a handicappers dream though.

I have not. My company has a site where you can view your application status and it still says "under review", so I'd like to assume they're still in the interview process, but pretty much everyone I've asked since I posted this has told me to call so I know what I'm doing first thing Monday.

Yeah - calling does more in the business world than a status update - it shows initiative and want for the position.

Just don't do what a guy I interviewed on Wednesday did. His interview was horrible - then he came into the office yesterday, and hand-delivered letters to the three of us who interviewed him and cornered me in my office for a half hour. One of the most awkward things I've ever endured.

I don't know about dream. I thought it was pretty obvious Exaggerator was going to win given track conditions and his performance at Santa Anita. I mean, 5-2 is a pretty good payout on a win bet. Surprised it stayed there, but I'll take what I won! Depending on how confident you were in certain horses, the exacta had decent odds, but it was either 5 to win or spreading it across 5 with all and didn't want to risk Nyquist finishing in 2nd on that one.

Is he already an employee or is he from outside the company? Because if so, that's why we have security. You aren't getting inside without an ID or someone willing to sign you in.

Was mainly talking about the earlier races. Ended up hitting on some long shots earlier in the day.

Outside, but I work in a public government building. Can't restrict access when we're open because their property taxes pay our bills.
