It’s awesome you got snow, but it sucks that it knocked out your power. I want a generator for that reason. It’s coming down to if this is our ‘forever home” or if we buy a new home. If we stay I’ll have one installed or I’ll have one installed at the new place. That being said, I hope the power comes back soon. Stay safe and stay warm.

      Re: Christmas 2017

2 weeks left and I haven't even given much though on what I want. Really can't think of anything. Don't really need/want anything, though I feel like I say that every time Christmas or my Birthday comes around.

Sure, just take money and spend it on whatever later on, but doesn't feel as special. Getting something from someone feels more special than someone giving me money and me using that money to be like "your money went towards me getting ___". I'd rather figure out what ___ is beforehand and get that as a gift.

$50 limit, probably something in electronics department is what I'm thinking.

Here's a video of my LEGO Christmas Village from this year. I've been working on the updates to the village this year since October, usually keep it up until March.

2 weeks until Christmas and I think I'm finally finding the spirit. We took my son to see Santa yesterday.

And I'm getting the warm fuzzy feeling about buying Christmas gifts. Now just need to get out there and get them, although I don't have much left to get.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

That’s good to hear. If I may suggest, do your shopping in the morning if you can. By noon shopping centres are nuts.

As crazy as this sounds, I enjoy shopping when it's crazy in the stores. It feels like an adventure and a quest.

Thankfully most of what I got to get is not hot ticket items so I shouldn't have issues finding anything, especially given like 95% of my shopping left are gift cards.

95% of shopping and wrapping is done for me. I got in the zone Saturday and wrapped for about 4 hours straight.

I have my sister wrap stuff for me. I cannot wrap presents AT ALL!

Really lagging it on gifts this year. Haven't the slightest clue about most purchases.

Ended up going to Connecticut and it was snowing the day we drove up so it really fit the whole feeling, especially when we visited a few Christmas-y areas and drove around places with a bunch of lights and such. Now back to Southern California where it was 80 degrees today. So Christmas.

10 days before Christmas and I still haven't thought of anything I want lol.

Right now I'm thinking maybe just get some kind of VR headset since I've never owned one, but don't know which to get. The $200 Samsung VR is abit much, but I see other Samsung ones for under $30. And lots of other makes as well, and then the Google Cardboard too.

Don't know VR stuff well enough to actually make a good enough decision, so anyone here know more?
