The last Friday before Christmas. We are in full swing for the big day. My wife and I are busy getting ready to host and when I say “wife and I”, I mean my wife. I busy playing video games.

Looks like we are going to have a White Christmas here in Toronto. Hopefully, the freezing drizzle they are calling for will miss us and we are expecting 5 to 10cm tomorrow and a dusting of snow Christmas Eve. This is awesome news.

I hope the next few days are full of joy for you all.

Yours is probably diff model but it's basically same thing. I've been using regular mice my whole life, but once I started with this one, it's so much nicer. Gotta get use to the 3 extra buttons though(forward and back buttons along with some other button I don't know what it is, but seems to sometimes highlight a paragraph when I click it)

Yeah, it's definitely a different model and mine is wireless but you are right it is much nicer.

Looks like we're supposed to get maybe an inch of snow on Christmas Eve here too. I usually don't think about it, but we didn't get any snow on Christmas last year (and the stuff prior had melted) and it was just missing something. I don't need a lot, just enough to look nice out there.

Yeah, this sums up my holidays too and I hate it. Family's fine, but past that five minutes of checking in we just sit there for hours watching TV and pretending to be interested in each other, haha.

This may take a while...

First round in Maryland with the in-law’s family today. Second round tomorrow in Pennsylvania for my side of the family, then staying home on Christmas morning in the small wonder of DE. I think the lineup is chili, prime rib, prime rib. The bathrooms will be barren wastelands when it’s all said and done.

My wife and I already exchanged gifts because we suck at patience. I got her a nice cell phone stand (for Netflix in bed), a vegetable seed kit, and a wooden hanging clothesline frame. I got a Bills hat, tumbler, and Flyers spatula that sears the logo in to your meat. Nothing crazy for each other, we’re focusing on making Christmas as magical as possible for the youngin’.

Christmas Eve Eve. Weather network is calling for 10 to 15cm by Christmas morning. It’s going to be absolutely beautiful.

I heard this one recently and while I could just put it in the joke thread, it works better here.

So this sunday school class is drawing manger nativity scenes and the pastor stops in to take a look at each one. When he gets to Bobby he sees Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the 3 wisemen. But then off in a corner of the manger he sees this fat man standing off by himself.
He thinks it may supposed to be St. Nick and he says "Bobby is this Santa Claus? Santa wasnt at the nativity''. Bobby responds its not Santa Claus and the pastor says "Well then who is it?''
Bobby says "Round John Virgin".

lol ya. I think many people don't even bother asking me anymore because they know what my answer is. I mean how much exactly will change between now and last time I saw them? I'm not exactly flying around the world, getting a new job every month, making major purchases each week. Wanna know what I've done the past few days? Get ready for family holiday stuff, spend quite some time shoveling snow/cleaning car, and everything else is the typical Monday-Friday stuff I do lol.

Without any kind of games to play or things to watch, there is only so much to do at these things. Basically everyone just sitting down for 90% of the time talking? Gets boring fast. Especially when it's basically just everyone talking about their own lives and stuff. Family or not, listening to life stories for a few hours is boring.

On that note, this Christmas season has gone by so fast, and I'm not entirely hating that fact anymore. Basically just writing things off right now and looking past Christmas. Nothing notable has really happened this year, really does feel like just another day. Sucks since past few years have had their great moments. Not all can be great, so I guess if one had to not be great, I'd take it this year.

It'll look nice and all, but the fact that it happens late afternoon/early evening on Christmas eve impacts evening driving plans. Today in morning was way worse than they said it'd be, and it was horrible getting through anything.

Merry Christmas Eve, OS'ers. My girlfriend and I are pretty bad at waiting to open gifts, so we actually ended up opening them last night. I'll have to post about them tomorrow when I get the chance. I actually just wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone, and that the best gift for me would be for the Falcons to beat the Saints and secure a playoff berth!

What's better, Christmas Eve or Christmas?


Many are putting Christmas Eve as a time they enjoy way more than Christmas. Christmas Eve having actual hype around it and still having that Christmas feeling and anticipation around it compared to Christmas where the thing you've been waiting for is already here(and basically over).
