re: Off-Topic
Is there a Podcast discussion thread on here? I'm going to start listening to some since I have a decent drive to work and have time at work to listen to some.
Anybody have any good starting places? I've heard the first season of Serial is fantastic. Bill Simmons obviously. WTF is funny. That's about as far as I've gotten. Any good retro radio shows like The Shadow out there?

Okay, this is stupid... but somehow my head popped into different EA Sports commercials, and then the Triple Play 2002 commercial started running through my head again. And wow, I think I still remember most of what is narrated during the commercial! But I'm trying to find it online and I cannot find it anywhere.
If anyone remembers what it is, it's a bunch of still photos appearing in rapid fashion as the main V.O. guy starts kind of spewing out a "baseball" poem really quickly.
Here is what I got, and maybe no one is as stupid as I am to happen to still have most of this poem in their heads, but perhaps somebody could help me out and order this correctly/fix some of the words?

Speaking of Triple Play, they still have my favorite baseball game intro. Triple Play 99. I still watch it every now and then.

Randonly bizarre story...when I moved 3 years ago I was going to switch from Comcast to Century Link. Filled out all the paperwork, they were going to ship me a modem and cable box etc. Then a week later they sent me a letter saying due to construction in my area, the speed I signed up for was not available. So I just shrugged and re-upped with Comcast. Someone at some point came ot my house to turn on the Century Link cable/internet though, so I started getting bills. The first one I just ignored, thought surely they would figure it out. Then when I got a second one I had to call and explain. They took care of all that, no biggie. Then a month or two later, I got a check in the mail for $98.90, like they thought they had to refund me or something. I ripped it up because I never paid Century Link anything.
3 years later, I just got a letter in the mail from Century Link saying they are reviewing things and saw I never cashed the check. I was about to just ignore this one too, but the legal print on the bottom explains that either I fill this thing out and get a new check or they give it to the State-I could then go get it back from them if I chose. So either I take 98.90 for no reason or the government apparently gets 98.80 for no reason. I'm fine with no one getting it, but it seems like it has to go somewhere, and if someone is going to, I don't care for the government to have it.Comment

I mean the State can't do anything with that money other than earn interest on it. It just sits there until you claim it. You did the right thing though because it's a process to get it from the State. You also could have told Century Link you aren't entitled to it and just void the check and they wouldn't send it to the State.Comment

It was night time and heavy rain when i went and watched this at the theater. Made the T-Rex and Dennis Nedry scenes seem that much more real. Then we drove back to my grandma's house in my '85 Camero and we played Baseball Stars and Battletoads.
Ive seen this movie more times than i can count, but i still refuse to get in on the middle of it. Its full move or nothin.Comment
