OS peeps I need some input.

Short version: What lengths is it acceptable to go to in order to reconnect with someone you were intimate with?

Many years ago (10 or so)use to work with this girl. We were close, but never hooked up. We did things, but never well, you know. And though there was a connection between us, we never tried a relationship because of timing, e.g. one of us was in a relationship already. I go off to college, lose contact.

About 3 years ago we happened to reconnect. I spend the night at her house and she talks of how she thinks of me more than anyone else from her past. But here is where it gets tricky. I was back in town to visit everyone before moving out of state to go to grad school. We reconnected because she ran into a mutual friend and she asked about me, she gave him her number to give to me. Only my genius friend gave me the wrong number (very important detail). So when I was in town I used his phone to call her and never corrected the number in my phone.

So anyway the next morning she leaves to go to work and leaves me a note asking me to stay until she gets off, only I had to be somewhere so couldn't. I left, and texted her later that day. Of course I get no response. Made a few more attempts at contacting her but never got a response. I didn't remember I had the wrong number until a week or so later when it was a few days before I left. Have had no contact since, so from her point of view I hit it and vanished.

Now I'm back in town and was talking to this girl, only it didn't work out. It recently occurred to me how alike the 2 were. Look very similar, both with long dark hair and they even have the same name. The difference between the 2 was that the first girl had something new girl doesn't -- communication skills lol. Me and her could talk for hours on end about anything and everything and it is real conversations, not idle chatter you know?

I've been thinking about this girl a lot lately and wondering what could have been, only I have no way to directly contact her. In her words, she "doesn't do that facebook ****."

My best friend, the one who originally gave me her wrong number, hasn't seen her in a while he says.

Should I message other friends asking about her? There wasn't a whole lot of overlap between our circle of friends so I guess it would feel a bit weird?

Life's short man, don't leave it with a bunch of "what-ifs". Go for it, if it works out great, if not, atleast you know you gave it an honest shot.

Problem is I don't have any "leads." I'm friends with her ex, but he kinda suspected I slept with her when they were together (I didn't) so feel like asking him would not be a smart move.

So what it would come down to is me randomly messaging people I'm not that close to (basically friends on FB only) if they know how to contact some girl who they probably aren't that close to. That feels a bit weird to me.

Just my opinion, but if reconnecting with this girl is top priority for you, I'd stop at nothing to get back in touch with her. As tech driven this social media world has become, I don't find it weird at all using that as a means to find ways to achieve your goal. It would be much easier if she was on social media instead of having to go through others lol

He has since replaced that phone like twice over and he doesn't import contacts.

Telling people something is on sale, that they have a limited time to buy it, and that there's a limited quantity of it, are all great ways to get people to buy anything.


I wonder how all the shipping goes for Amazon during this type of week. Despite being a prime member and ordering the item on Monday with express shipping, seems like it's gonna take the entire week to arrive. There hasn't even been a postal update since Monday.

I also entered the XBOX ONE S market with the deal they had. It gave free one day shipping and sure as heck it came on time the next day. The headphones I bought also came in the package.

I guess it just depends where the item comes from.


I've had moments in the past where I ordered stuff, didn't even have Prime, and got the item within the next day or two, despite not paying extra for shipping.


Having Prime this time around, selecting express shipping(there wasn't a 1 day shipping option) and getting it Friday for the earliest does suck, especially looking at the tracker and even today finding out that the tracking info hasn't been updated since Monday (and on Monday it was all the way on the west coast). If I don't get it by tomorrow, I wonder if I could complain to Amazon and get some kind of compensation since I'm a prime member and chose express shipping.

What's up with this new update to YouTube on androids? I now have to manually move the time marker with my finger up/down versus being able to just select a time marker with my finger and YT jump to it.

This may seem a bit over the top, but on whitepages.com you can pay to find information about people. Google her and the website should come up with some info about her. I've been able to find people through Google in the past, so if you want some help feel free to PM me and I'll do my best.

Don't get it twisted, I've done some google-fu on this, but paying for a service is the point I won't go lol.

Unsurprisingly the one real life mutual friend we have/had that I messaged had a big falling out with her and when I asked about her it prompted a rage induced tirade. I did manage to trick her into telling me the sister's name (only met her one time and couldn't remember it). So guess I'll be randomly messaging the sister, who is also not big on FB so its not as solid as you would think.

lol, this is gonna sound ironic/hypocritical given what I said earlier...

I got a $5 off code from Amazon that's good for a month. Can use it on any item over $5. Too bad I didn't get it a few days ago when I was buying stuff from there.

Only problem I see, is that so many items under $10 are only add-on exclusive, meaning they can only be bought with purchases over $25. At that point, I'll just be buying an item for the sake of getting a small amount off which isn't worth it.

Any suggestions on non-addon items under $10 that's sold by Amazon? Every small purchase I can think of like pack of gum, body wash, shampoo, all of that are add-on exclusive.
