I'm looking into it too, not really sure what I'm looking for. One of the companies (Leesa) is based here so I went to their store to try one: it's definitely a matress. I feel like I don't know enough to evaluate.

I got the purple 2. Is their middle option in terms of firmness. I think the 3 is softest and 4 is firmest. Not sure about the original purple.

The people is definitely one to try before you buy it. The waffle design thing is a bit weird at first.

We were looking at the Purple until we found out there is latex in it, and my wife has a severe allergy to latex..
