I'm all for launching soccer away from me to the nearest exit.

oh sure, its all fun and games now but when he gets old enough to always beat you at what you're playing, well, let me say there's nothing wrong with cheating to win. then again, there's also nothing more stressful, humiliating and pathetic than losing to a 10 year old at Uno while cheating and stacking the deck in order to win. I'm just guessing. I never did that, say, eleven or twelve years ago.

Went into a Best Buy store for the first time in a long while. Ghost town, everything for full retail, no idea how they're still in business.

The bigger purchases would be better made in store. Order a TV and risk something happening while shipping, or take it home yourself? Phone plans too, better doing it in person there.

I went there a year ago, the only time I've been there in past 3+ years, and it felt so different. The store was basically a giant maze showroom. Some aisles you had go into an aisle like 50 feet away in order to connect to the aisle you wanted lol.

All bigger purchases are better done in store. And obviously if you need to return something, it's better done in store vs over phone or email.

          you, sir, are a genius!

instead of taking the exit velocity and launch angle of shots on goal, we need to apply this technology to flops! Someone please get on this

This isnt math but it does involve numbers....

The next week+ is a palindrome week.

9/10/19 all the way through 9/19/19.

I think "officially" its year month date.

People do whatever they want though. It's not wrong and people know what you mean (at least those with common sense). But it could be confusing when you do 9/8/19. Some read it as September 8th, others as August 9th.

I usually just write it out. Like September 8, 2019 instead of 9/8/19 or 8/9/19 or whatever.

I think I said it here before. Measurements are similar, but you at least have abbreviations. Officially its things like CM and KG, but people use it interchangeably.

Rain is measured in millimetres, but snow usually both CM and Inches (people wouldn't say "we got 15cm of snow", they'd say "we got half a foot of snow").

I find the average Canadian knows how to use both. I dont know exact Farenheit to celcius conversion, but I'll know generally what is warm or cold weather wise in F. And cooking we use F.

I still do this sometimes because of the military.

                    Friday the 13th!

Also a full moon (officially full for people not on east coast in NA, but east cost officially will be full moon just after 12am on Saturday).

Hasn't happened like this since 2000 and won't again until 2049!

If there's a day to be superstitious, this should be it.

Damnit, I took my dog out 20 minutes ago and the feral cats were hanging around in a weird way, and the black cat was just waiting for us I'm planning to go out on my laundry run tomorrow and now I have to deal with black cat voodoo, full moon, and friday the 13th issues taunting me.

Worst of all will be road construction, no amount of superstition can supersede road construction, and it will be rampant

                            Lol, gotta love pricing errors.

A pizza chain near me had an error on their website. A combo deal for $2. Clearly they meant the combo deal was an EXTRA $2 with the purchase of a full price pizza, but the online ordering system only billed it as $2 per combo.

So what would've been a $60 group order ended up being basically $10. I'll pick up the tab for everyone this time lol. Neighbours were outside when I came home. I was just like "want a box?". Gave them free dinner, felt nice.

These pricing errors are rare for me. I'm always the one who finds out about it after the fact.

Been in to dipping fries in ranch lately, specifically the waffle fries in the garden herb ranch sauce from Chick-fil-a. Fresh hot fries are so damn good in general.

They should make loaded waffles fries a thing there. Fries, some type of cheese, bacon, throw some ranch in or around there... mmm. I have faith a quality chain like CFA would do it justice, not smother that in gross cheese sauce.

Yesterday morning, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let my best friend of 11 years go. My Golden Retriever, Maggie. She had developed a condition called mega esophagus which wouldn’t allow her to swallow properly. She hadn’t been able to keep down any food and barely any water for almost a full week. I did everything I could to help her, but it just wasn’t going to work and she was suffering. I am a broken man. My heart hurts so much. I’m just asking for prayers from any of you that believe, because she was the most important thing in the world to me and now, she is gone and I have nothing. If you have a dog, hug them extra tight, tonight, because you just never know how much time you have left with them. Rest easy, Maggie. Daddy will see you, again one day. 💔
