Even Best Buys stores are becoming less necessary.

Been looking at getting a new TV stand, I saw some on their website, so I thought I'd go to the store and see if they had any on display to really see how it looks.

Guy there was like "we don't sell any stands".

Ironic that a store which has become a glorified showroom doesn't have one of the bigger(size/weight wise) items on display for people to see.

When buying any kind of furniture, it is kind of important to really see how it is before buying. Can't judge based on a picture and dimensions.

Best Buy isn't a furniture store.

The cost of having floor inventory is through the roof which doesn't make sense if it isn't your main product or target.

They lose enough as is with the amount of TV's they put out on the floor.

Yeah. They purposely won't stock certain things in-store that are available on their website for less.

I didnt mean I expected them to sell it, but I meant that if the store is a showroom, how is something like the stand for the TV itself not part of that?

Not talking some generic wall mount, I meant the full on big stands which probably takes IKEA furniture amount of time to put together.

Small sample size, sure, but the Best Buy near me has a "deadness" to it. Multiple employees just kind of hanging out, no one really in the store. I only go there if there is some sort of decent game deal.

It's sad, but yes Best Buys don't seem to be as hot and happening as they were even in my college years a decade ago. I love the store and don't ever want to see it go away, and though it has had a resurgence you wouldn't know it if you walked in one lately.

My company mandates that you get the flu vaccine each year, but I recently started working from home and forgot to go out to the office when the LPN’s were there offering them. Fast forward to now, ya boys got the flu. I’ve always wanted to win a Darwin.

I've never gotten a flu shot or the flu. Sounds like a coincidence
