I have never really invested before. I am familiar with the stock market but just never got in to it.

A couple of years ago I started a Betterment account and just add to it every month. Up until recently, it had grown almost 10%. But, you know, the stock market tanked.

I am looking to invest more heavily and get in to real investing and now, or in a couple of months, seems like a good time. Any recommendations on a service to use to do that? One designed for beginners?

I use Fidelity and Vanguard. Both are easy to use and they don't charge fees for trading. I also hear a lot of good things about M1 finance.

I'm hoping for another dip... I had certain prices I wanted to lock in at for some companies.

I had a very long few days so woke up a little late and missed Apple touching 230s.

I deposited $30K into my SEP yesterday so just waiting to make a move.

I'm eyeing Apple and Wells Fargo(really want to lock in their div yield as I don't see a cut and I definitely see them recovering) for a relatively safe play. I'll probably put the rest in Boeing as a 'too big/imp to fail' and plenty of upside in 3-4 years.

Aapl closing it stores for awhile . So the price will probably go lower.

Made my first moves:

Got some Boeing at $101.72 and Wells Fargo at $27.63.

Waiting on Apple to get to the entry point I'd like.

If any of y’all have stocks fujifilm out of Japan gonna explode they apparently have medicine for coronavirus. Their kinda cheap to buy right now amd pretty much should explode.

Added to my Amazon and Google positions today. Didn’t think I would do that again.

I’m keeping an on AOBC for the gun/ammo play.

Think peloton could see bump and run to 40-50 when the market runs.

In general I think it’s a great idea for anyone to get in market now. We will probably never see a buy opportunity basically on almost anything like this again.

I think we are close to bottom but we could test 18,000, than it is hopefully the money grind back up.

I ended up adding some DIS at 79.50.

Apron has exploded this week.

I’m thinking about opening a position in Apple, AMD and McDonalds... just waiting for the ‘right’ price.

I agree that it’s a good time to add. My only concern is a prolonged recession but I’m generally a 3-5 year hold.

I now think it’s safe to buy cruise line stocks CCL and RCL. This should Be the bottom of it are close enough to take the risk.

I do expect them to cancel some more sailings within the next few weeks. So if you want to hold out for that you could. With the recent drops and likely government package on the way. I think it’s greedy to wait for a few more bucks off.

Sold $SHOP today. I'd had it for almost two years. Stimulus will be a nice temporary bump. The inevitable fact is deaths are going to start to increase. I took the cash while I could in case I need it.

Both of the cruise stocks I mentioned have had rally good weeks so hopefully that continues.

A few more stocks I like that are business that we can all understand is Best Buy and STZ. The last one are the people who make corona beer which has dropped badly during all of this.

I sold everything I bought last week.

I had a tough choice between Lockheed and MCD but went Lockheed. That choice cost me a few more %s.

I ended up locking in about 12% for the week. All in cash right now.

I'm expecting a dip.

I know you can't win long term trying to time the market but this isn't the end. I'd probably re-buy the same stocks and maybe add a share or two to my holdings.
