If you had to choose, would you invest in Facebook or MSFT right now?

    MSFT may acquire TikTok.

Facebook's Instagram is launching a TikTok copycat right on their own platform.

MSFT is $216/share right now, up ~6% this week.

FB is $266/share right now, up ~4% this week.

Cima, I own MS. It has more upside than FB IMO. MS cloud services are getting a lot of play due to many people working from home. New XBOX hitting this holiday season, and lastly the possibilty of buying a stake in TicTok.

Also not to mention is has a higher market cap.

If tech is something your looking to invest in, take a look at 5G. Nokia, Erricson, Qualcomm. 5G is about to explode and these companies are main players

I bought Nokia right before earnings last week and made a good return

Well it looks like Facebook is moving well since it announced "Reels" which FB version of TicTok.

Difference is Reels is only 30 sec clips, while TT clips are 1 minute long. With all this talk about banning TT in the US. Not sure how much longer this run can go, but it might be something to jump in.

FB up another 3% since the open. FB has recovered pretty well since dropping over them not removing post deemed racist during the George Flyod/BLM rallies last month, and companies pulling their ad $ from the platform

I'm pretty new to stock investing, I only have $1,100 invested so far. From the research I've done, Nokia's stock hit an all-time high of $61.88 20 years ago in 2000. It's only $5/share right now. Why do you think they're a good investment and how much would you invest in them to net a return that's worth it?

Nokia is a HOLD stock right now. I have $1200 invested as well, and I'm thinking about investing another $1000. If your willing to HOLD and add, you can see a nice return, but it's gonna take a couple of years.

Here's the Q2 earnings report in case you want to read up.

If you are looking to be a long term investor, I would diversify your portfolio.
So for me, I have a 401k, (weekly contribution) So I'm vested in a ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) and I have about $5,000 invested in Nokia, Microsoft, Plug Power, and Inseego (which I just brought today) from some extra money I had in my savings, that I invested during the pandemic.

If you feel like Individual stocks may be a risk, I would invest into a ETF which allows you to invest in a number of companies at once like the Amazon's, Apple's, Microsoft's and others

Update on some cruise news and how it relates to stocks. A major cruise line (msc) currently has a ship that's sailing and the 7 day cruise will end the 23rd. So far everything is going good with the virus and they even kicked a few people off that wasn't following the rules. In general your still a few months away before ships start sailing here in the US. However if everything goes good here you will likely see more overseas cruises start and some of the lines can start getting a little $ coming in. If word comes back Monday that they are no cases from that ship. I would think that would help all 3 cruise stocks even if its just short term.

All eyes are on MSC Cruises this weekend as they attempt to restart Mediterranean sailings from Italy.

A group of passengers aboard the MSC Grandiosa has been kicked off the ship for violating new protocols put in place regarding shore excursions.

Quick update the cruise ended with no reported cases of covid. Its on another week long cruise now so slowly some more sailings are happening overseas soon.

Another cruise stock update since my last one the stock has went up which I projected. If your wanting to buy CCL stock at under $20 I think now is the time to do it. The plan is for 6 ships to sail out of the US in November. I'll post a article that talks about it which just now got posted. Even if its not November its going to be sometime within the next handful of months. The company has a few overseas ships which have started sailing in recent weeks.

Update. Sold all my shares in MS, Nokia and Plug Power and went all in on Tesla split.

Bought mid week last week and got hammered, but this is a long hold for me. I know it's a volitile stock, but I believe in what Elon Musk is doing about the environment and energy.

Big Battery Day event on the 22nd as well as some giga plant updates and new design information on that day hopefully will push the stock into the green

^^True, but Plug Power wouldve given you some serious GAINSSS.

THat's the name of the game though.
