    Aka the Amazon Seller model.

Reminds me of one buffet place I went to probably a decade ago. It was a nice place, but you could tell once they got shut down what likely happened (bad management/possibly health violations). People literally spent all day there eating 3 different meals. And the owner/manager would always be around and basically watched every single person there at all times. Gave of major sketchy vibes.

But there's only been one buffet I've been to that I really loved, and eventually it got shut down too.

That place had everything you could want, which was especially good for a kid. TVs on their walls, and the buffets included so many kinds of foods including fast food options like fries.

I am genuinely surprised that so many people still watch awards shows. I think the last time I watched any award show was when I was a kid and we only had over-the-air television station options, so when you have like 6 total channels, it seemed like a reasonable viewing option.

Anyway, the above is not meant to be judgmental at all; everyone should enjoy watching whatever they want. Except for reality TV shows on Bravo...those are just trash.

I feel like any Chinese buffet in existence is violating at least half of the health code at any given time. It's almost not a legitimate chinese buffet if it isn't violating the health code.

Having meat and noodles sit out for hours and hours is how you seal the flavor in. And if I check the walk-in fridge, food better be scattered around uncovered, and not dated.

                Agreed on the last statement.

The Oscars for me is close to the Super Bowl for me. I'm a big movie guy, and I love seeing the stars all together, dressed up great, sometimes showcasing their talents and other times celebrating their talents. I love it.

I just don't like that the show isn't about that anymore, at least not any of the presentations. They also aren't shy about any of their agendas, and that in itself isn't a problem... unless the right people aren't winning or unless people are using awards shows to push their agendas. A lot of the entertainment has been lost, but I continue to give them chances.

Anyway, the Golden Globes ain't the Oscars, but I'm just relating to all award shows in general.

Haven't tried Pepsi's replacement for it yet. The Publix app gave me a free 20oz, might check it out tomorrow. I rarely drink soda anymore but a cold Sprite or Root Beer sometimes can hit the spot.

Sierra Mist is ok, but it can't compete with Sprite. And obviously the sales numbers must back that up. Sprite from McDonald's is God tier. Grant Hill drinks Sprite, so that's a done deal.

There was a 2-3 year window where this was me. And one of those years was when Ving Rhames gave his Golden Globe to Jack Lemmon. ******* that was great.

Last time I saw an award show was the 2015 Oscars, Neil Patrick Harris was hosting and he was so bad (rated it 3 out of 10) that that was it for me

                            make 7

                            UP yours

I like 7 UP because of the lack of caffeine, never had it, never will

also, this time of year, I swear by chicken noodle soup, orange juice & 7UP, to fend off colds.
January to March, I try to eat and drink them once a week, usually on Sunday mornings as a brunch type dealio

I hate Coke/Pepsi, but like 7Up/Sprite. Most carbonated drinks in general I don't like.

Funny thing, the Miles Thurst ads are the thing that made me want to try Sprite.

And many food places in general too, they just don't get caught or manage to pin it on some low level employee.

My best friend's fiancee is trying to get me to date her younger sister. Now normally, I would completely dismiss this because she doesn't meet the criteria of the age rule (half your age + 7). I'm 37...she's 23.

But then, I feel like I will disappoint my buddy's woman (who has become a good friend in her own right) if I just dismiss her like that. So I feel obligated to at least get to know her lol.
