Who knows...real-time says a few posts have been made since the early morning hours, but it apparently didn't stay up long enough for more than one or two posts.

        Edit:yeah, seems like we're back.

          Re: Off-Topic

          I have so many questions...

          1. People put dipping sauce over their already made slice of pizza? I've always just used dipping sauce for the crust (I miss the old way some chains used to make their crust where it was stuffed with dough so much that you could scoop out the crust with the dough, dip it and eat it, then still have the outside of the crust to dip after)

          2. If you did use dipping sauce over your cheese/toppings, was there a struggle beforehand in doing it?

          3. Dip roller sounds like some cheesy insult (slight pun intended)

That roller thing isn't putting nearly enough on. Just drizzle it on.

It's not unwieldy to control a drizzle of some dressing on the actual slice.

Little bit of ranch or blue, some parmesan on top of that and it's the best. Always eaten my pizza this way. The only time I don't is if I'm eating something distinctly nice. Still do parm for that but no dressing. Aside from those occasions, I'm doing it if I can.

****, I'm starving. Not the right thing to see in the middle of the night when I haven't had a free day since April 3.

What the…? They discovered a worse way to put condiments on pizza?

Saw a list of the female artists with the most top 10 singles of all time, and 4 out of the top 5 are current artists from the past 10-15 years. Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande are on that list. I feel like streaming on-demand services like Spotify have made it to where people just listen to the same artists over and over, and don't discover new artists as much. If you are presented with a million different bands to listen to you're just going to throw your hands up and listen to the same stuff over and over, or nothing at all? I think it's call overchoice.

This is probably true. I know Spotify has their Discover Weekly playlist that's supposed to recommend things I haven't heard before but even that's been kind of a miss for me. Their algorithm works well in that it's recommending songs that are both new to me and similar enough to stuff I listen to that I should like them, but I can maybe count on one hand how many of these recommendations made enough of an impact to get me to look around the rest of their catalog.

Sometimes it really is easier to just go to the songs I know I like.

Is it me or does it seem like we’ve run out of Quality Announcers in all the major pro sports, compared to what we had for the last 30-40 years?

                      As in commentators?

If so, I agree. Networks nowadays just want a generic broadcaster who doesn't outshine the broadcast, they just want someone calling the action and that's it, which is a shame because commentators can be the difference in how excited you are while watching.

Are you talking about national announcers for the major networks or local one that cover teams on a daily basis?

If it's the latter I would disagree. I'm not a fan of the Pittsburgh teams but living here I do either listen to or watch their games when I can and whether it's radio or TV I think they are all fantastic.

Same goes for the out of market teams I follow.

Even with national coverage I think the NFL is pretty hit or miss. The A and B teams are pretty good for CBS. NHL and MLB are pretty much meh at this part to me so you won't get an argument from me there.

I had a dream that told me, very clearly, that salt will be the next breakthrough in fighting cancer and tumors. I woke up, ate something, went back to sleep and had the same dream again. So I did a little research once I woke up and found that several studies are beginning to find that high-salt diets are being looked at as potential low-risk cancer treatments, along with other studies showing that salt nanoparticles are toxic to cancerous tumors. I have never researched any of this at any time in my life prior to having this dream. Odd.

The National Guys for Major Networks.

NFL has some quality guys depending on the network. I think CBS has the best overall, followed by NBC and FOX has fell off since they lost Buck/Aikman and bumped up Burkholdt/Olson

NBA is kinda trash of Breen/JVG/Jackson and TNT with Ian Eagle and Kevin Harlan

Haven’t watched much MLB and don’t watch Hockey.

I agree with you about the local and out of market guys. The ones I’ve listened to have always been pretty good but nationally, it’s horrible.

No surprise. The demonization of salt is one of the most bogus things to come across in the last however many decades.

Tumors love sugar and starches. If you don't eat sugar and starches, you're likely eating protein and fat and nuts and cheese and such. Usually those have higher salt content.

I've known for years that people who have cancer are advised to go low carb.

All the stuff you heard about fat/salt being bad for you is complete bull****. When I go strict with the no carb, my blood numbers undergo massive improvements. The first time I did it for 12 weeks in 2015 as part of the theory my doc had to heal my gastro/acid reflux/etc issues, my triglycerides went from 160 to 120 over that 3 month period. 160 wasn't bad to begin with but the decline was memorable. It's crazy knowing how little heartburn/nausea/etc I have when I'm doing good with my diet.

I don't feel the "bursts of energy!" and **** some people experience but as long as I'm not running to the ****ter or downing mint Rolaids I'm good.
