Hmm…that is odd. Papa John’s is usually my go-to for chain pizza.

Papa John's is my go to as well. Especially now with their stuffed crust.

They've been uploading videos for six years so I'm way behind on this, but there's a YouTube channel with clips from those Masked Magician specials on Fox in the late 90's if anyone else wants to kill a bunch of time today.

I heard about the latest Wheel of Fortune controversy.

This one was someone in the bonus round solving the puzzle...or so they thought. They paused between the last 2 words as they were stumped on the last word, but they did say it before time expired. But they didn't get awarded the prize because apparently they paused for "too long" which seems ridiculous to me.

Not the first controversy they've had lately. I remember in the past they've ignored people who added an S at the end of a word, or worse, someone pronounced a word differently than its commonly pronounced, but the producers claimed it was incorrect, even though you know what that person meant.

They’ve had a long-standing rule about answers being more or less continuous, and she paused for 4-5 seconds so I can see their point. There’s not a set time you’re “allowed” to pause, but pausing for 4 or 5 seconds is a pretty big break when you’re speaking. Sucked for her at the time, but I saw today that Audi has since contacted her and is giving her the car she would’ve won. It’s a Festivus miracle!

Adding S to the end of words I’ll also side with WoF on - adding an S makes it a different word.

Mispronunciation could go either way for me. I wouldn’t count it if someone completely mangled a word, but if it’s a simple mispronunciation I probably would. I just wouldn’t want to have the standard in a game where you guess specific words be just knowing what someone meant, you know?

If the words already up there, then a mispronunciation shouldn't hurt someone.

Then they have to be specific. There needs to be a tiny buzzer that indicates if she needs to restart her sentence.

They already sound unnatural when solving the puzzle and shouting, like: "SHOPPING. FOR. CLOTHES." There needs to be an exact time, because otherwise she was within time and completely within her rights as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, adding an S to something that shouldn't have an S is different. They also sometimes have some versions where they mention to say all of the words and no filler, including "and" or "um," and they are specific about it. This time one however is ridiculous, especially if she isn't warned to repeat.

I'm getting a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Should I get a screen protector for it? Phone case?

It'll be in my pocket quite a lot.

Depends how mispronounced it is, I think.

I don't know how you establish a specific time though. I think it's more about the rhythm of the person speaking than anything else. They allow you to pause for a beat, to interrupt yourself and restart, and even (on the final round of the main game) keep talking through the buzzer if you start before it and don't break your sentence.

I've never been on so I obviously don't know, but they might go over these types of things with the contestants before the show.

                      Remember this one, though?

This is the only one that came to mind. I would've given it to him, haha. Totally mispronounces but he doesn't invent a new word by doing it or anything.

                        Case: yes
                        Screen protector: no

Those screens are pretty tough and solid. Cases just make it easier to hold, but you don't really need anything fancy/expensive for that either.

I dunno, with Sajak on the job for 40 years, I guess he would/could/should know the rules quite well. plus, I thought it made WoF look bad. and I don't think they'd do that intentionally to make a sponsor look good
