Today I saw a dead bee on the sidewalk (stepped on, it seems), and there was another bee that was just flying low right next to it, almost like it was upset over his buddy's death or whatever.

It was actually really sad. I felt bad for it. Up until now I literally almost didn't suspect that bees could feel emotions or anything of the sort, but that moment made me question those thoughts over.

I recently was corrected that dead bees don't attract other bees. I have a false memory of being taught to dispose of a dead wasp so it doesn't attract more. (well, the memory wasn't false, but you know what I mean)

side note: I had a ladybug on my sliding glass door trying to get out, or at least I assume it was trying to get out, I tried to let it out, and it refused to leave. It was weird. This poor bastard chose to walk all over the glass door for days. Yesterday I noticed a bunch of ladybugs on the outside of the glass trying to get in, it made me realize the original ladybug wasn't around anymore and probly died. I was kinda thinking the same thought about maybe this new crew of ladybugs are trying to get in to mourn their fallen friend

additional note: I spend too much time alone lol


extra special edit: I'm also reminded of my mom telling me that these aren't ladybugs but actually mexican bean beetles

Maybe the bee that was flying low just finished whipping the dead bees *** and was taunting him to get up.

I haven't myself, but I know those who have used it and I haven't heard of it being unreliable.

I've never used it, but it seems pretty much the same as poshmark, etsy or ebay. All sellers have ratings, so at least there's some gauge on reliability. Worth a shot.

Where did the summer go?

Tomorrows already September!

Seems like things are slowly trying to return to normal, but it also seems like another wave could make this upcoming fall even more unpredictable.

Still sucks how it feels like 2 summers have mostly been wasted.

It sure as **** does not physically feel like Summer has gone anywhere. I need the snow, and I need it fast. These hot days are the death of me.

Question to everyone. Is there not a sports card collection thread? I tried searching and could not find one.. but I swear there was one.

As for the weather, I always go back and forth on it.

Coldness you can dress for (compared to heat where without AC, no matter what you're wearing you can still be hot).

But I hate snow/ice/delays it causes. Looking outside where there's no "greenery", and days feel duller sucks, but at least I'm not freezing or burning up indoors.

Especially when we have significant groups of people who either never want to follow simple/easy rules, or actually never want to go back to normal lol.

The stats confuse me somewhat.

Let's say 80% has dose 1, and 70% has dose 2.

Clearly those 20% don't seem to have plans on getting it, but what are those 10% who only have 1 dose doing? It's very simple to book appointments, and much less wait time to get them vs the initial rush.

Even when I got mine, I was one of the lucky ones who managed to book asap and got my 1st and 2nd doses within 48 hours or so of when the bookings opened. I even booked for other family members for later in that same week too. That was during the big rush to start.

It's been months. There absolutely has to be many openings for people to book for.

Had a spider come out of the tissue box with a tissue first thing this AM, squashed another in my car, and just now moving my outside trash cans, I stepped on a snake.

No more critters please.

Pretty sure it was just a common garter snake, but I haven’t run in to hardly any snakes in my life so it was a shock. He wasnt huge but he wasn’t tiny either. I was like hmm that was a weird sensation under my foot — HOLY ****! Lil’ fella wasn’t happy with me, but he slunk off like I told him to.
