Re: Off-Topic
These vaccine bookings are black Friday on steroids.
Site didnt go live until around 8am, but from 7am I was refreshing the page every minute until I got in.
Was helping other family members book too and got everyone some nice dates as well, sadly not together, but still better than the alternative.
Baseball is a game of inches, this was a game of seconds. You don't have time to think, once you're at the front of the online waiting line, you have to react instantly or else dates will go faster than you blink.
Heard mixed reviews on the 2nd dose. Some say the side effects were about the same as the first. Others said theirs lasted about 2 or so days and it was much more serious. Hopefully mine isn't the latter. The expected arm tightness would be fine, hopefully no fever/headache and so on.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: Off-Topic
Sorry for you loss Scott. There is an apparent suceptibility to brain aneurysms in my paternal grandmother's family. My great-grandmother and great-uncle (granndmother's brother) both died suddenly from them and my aunt (dad's sister) was found to have one by chance when she had an MRI as part of a study she haad volunteered for. They often won't present symtoms until they start leaking or rupture.
I had the Pfizer vaccine didn't have anything more than a sore deltoid from either dose, may have been slightly less sore after the 2nd dose. My mom had what is apparently called "COVID arm" which is a rash that starts at and spreads out from the injection site and lasts a few days (she had the Moderna vaccine).
Last time around I felt it a few hours after I got mine, it lasted all day, then when I woke up it was still sore but got better quickly. A shower the next day helps too since it loosens up the muscles.
It is a weird feeling though for that time. I can move my arm certain directions and it'll be fine, but then it almost locks up. You have to find the right spot/angle to turn your arm to get it the way you want.Comment

I had Moderna. Sore arm after the first shot. Some body aches and chills the next morning after the second one, in addition to the sore arm. But nothing too bad. One of my friends who got Moderna said he felt like he literally got kicked in the nuts.
I had my physical in April. My doctor had just started getting his doses in and had extra, so it worked out well for me to get mine.Comment

Sticking with the medical theme:
The past few days I keep having dizzy spells. Like I turn my head slightly and I feel like someone spun me around multiple times really fast. Takes a moment, or minute, to regain focus.
My ears don't hurt and I don't have excess wax or anything that would suggest an inner ear infection.
Any thoughts?
I really don't want to go to doctor or anything if possible. I don't dare search the internet because in a few clicks you're deadI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

WebMD has some too. I can't remember if what I did were just like some of those or not.
Edit: Just to add, if it lasts more than a few days I’d still get it checked out by a doctor just in case.Last edited by LowerWolf; 06-14-2021, 06:29 PM.Comment

Re: Off-Topic
At Walmart today a woman grabbed my shirt sleeve and handed me a printed note that said "gone to pee, leave my drink alone". This isn't even the first time this has happened. The same exact woman gave me the same exact printed note several years ago at the same store!
I feel bad for this woman, it's like all she does is walk around Walmart handing out these little printed notes. She was like extra assertive in making sure I got this little note from her
Which leads me to the most obvious conclusion, she's a supernatural entity attached to my energy and can only communicate through these little notes and it's my destiny to decode a deep meaning within these notes to save her and also all of humanity.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Possibly Vertigo? I had that a few years ago. My doctor had me do some exercises where I'd basically do situps laying in bed but staring at various spots.
WebMD has some too. I can't remember if what I did were just like some of those or not.

My wife had a bout of vertigo too. Doctor ended up doing similar to what you described. Something about crystals in your ear. Had her lay down and he shifted her head around or something like that. Like magic, she was cured.
I distinctly remember a user here describing the same. Can probably still find the thread somewhere, I think it was specifically about vertigo.
Good luck CB!
Here it is: Vertigo....

I feel like I'm too honest at times.
I went to buy something today, it didnt have a sku number on it, so the cashier tried asking someone for help but nobody was available. It was one of their first days back since things were closed for a few months. They just asked me if I remember the price and I told them and they just charged me that price. I'm sure I easily could've lied.
No doubt people would probably lie in that moment, but that's not me.
Speaking of which, minutes before that there was a loud customer with their kids going shopping. That person was wearing what looked like plastic wrap made into a mask, and they were yelling at their kids the whole time. Its someone like that I fully expect to have lied to the cashier about a price.Comment

Re: Off-Topic
You have to be pretty quick on your feet to lie in a reasonable/believable way in that moment. It's not like you can say that the giant package of Oreos was on sale for 50 cents. And you'd have to be a pretty small and pathetic person to value the idea of getting one over on a grocery store cashier, but we all know those people exist.Comment
