I got one of the new vaccines a couple days ago. other than a verry sore arm, I felt good. the last little while, not so much. hoping it's unrelated

I'm getting my second vaccine in a few hours.

Though within the hour, I'm getting blood work done just because. I fasted the night before, so in between this and my vaccine I'm going to engorge myself. I've been hydrating a lot the past 12+ hours as well, so hopefully all of this leads to good results with everything I do, haha.

So I got my second vaccine yesterday. Got the sore shoulder again pretty quickly, which I suppose was expected. Only a few hours afterward I got hit with tiredness, though that may be unrelated but I did take a nap.

Then I was up until about 1:00 AM on the computer with no other symptoms besides the shoulder, and about the same minute I plopped on my bed, I got hit with chills. This was shortly followed by a headache. The chills lasted a couple of hours, and the headache hasn't gone away at all. I know this because I haven't fallen asleep.

Maybe that's for different reasons (napping earlier for a couple hours, anxiety from MLB season starting today, etc.), but outside of dozing off for a second, I laid down all last night with my eyes closed and a throbbing headache. I'm guessing this is just a part of the process, and taking pain relievers might work against what it's trying to do with my body.

Regarding my blood work, all looked good except a low CBC (which I've had before, maybe a cause of the first vaccine this time even) and a constant A1C, which is upsetting as I've tried to really limit the amount of Jamba Juice and milkshakes the past few months. Instead of having like one of either a day, I've probably only had like four of them combined since January. Guess I gotta start working out again and figure out the other dietary bits replacing those items, like protein shakes and waffles and such. Probably the wrong thread to talk about this stuff, but it's all just follow-up.

this is exactly what I experienced but thankfully it didn't last long.
I still thought my poor diet habits played a larger part than the vaccine.
fwiw I had the Moderna shot. still surprised at the soreness it caused in my arm

Got it. I got the Pfizer.

I've been hydrating like crazy for a couple of days now. While I was awake all night, I sure had many bathroom trips because of all of the water I had been drinking.

They announced they're changing their name to Voltswagon. They even told people it's not a joke. Media outlets reported the news, their stock price got impacted, then they had to come clean and say it's a joke.

Yesterday morning, I heard a Kars 4 Kids radio commercial that was without their jingle, and just described exactly what they do and what it goes to. I had no idea they were an organization that worked with high school dropouts.

Not saying I'm about to donate my car now, but why have they been singing that stupid song on the radio over and over for the past twenty years? That never seemed helpful, heh.

Vaccine reactions are probably tough to predict as many variables probably contribute to the likelihood and severity of any side effects. Even with the flu vaccine one year my deltoid got really sore afterward but the next year not at all.
