I figure what I'll do, since I bought more broccoli anyway and plan on making it, is I'll just merge it with that broccoli when eating. That way, even if I'm eating bacteria-infested food (which I also agree is safer than advertised should you Google it), it's just a little bit less haha.

It's in the fridge now, and I don't plan on having any broccoli again until tomorrow night. Provided that I heat it up again in the microwave, do you think it would be relatively safe to eat, or is it spoiled and dunzo?

      Thanks.

I was following this exchange with great interest and now I only have one question: are we now classifying donuts as meat or were these those maple bacon variety?

Especially something like vegetables. As long as it still looks and smells good then it's fine.

Don't forget, people pack lunches to work or school. It's likely in their bag for at least a few hours before they eat it and it's still fine because it's in a container.

On a similar note, use the same rule for best before dates. It does say BEST before, it doesn't mean the day after its expired, just means they can't promise it'll be normal after. Look at milk. If best before date is March 10th and you opened it March 1st, its probably not lasting until the 10th. Open it on the 9th, you can still have it on the 11th.

Depends on the product, but lots of stuff does last longer than the best before date.

So does that mean pizza with spinach and pineapple on it can be classified as a fruit salad?

Cooked food being left out isn't really the thing to worry about. It's uncooked meat, or things with certain dairy products. Broccoli is just going to lose its moisture over time, like anything else.

Anybody have ideas how to effectively rid of a chipmunk in my yard? I'm ok with lethal actions, I'm pretty sure this thing is close to killing a couple of my shrubs.

You go into the Uncommon Opinions thread and say that!

Actually, we should do a broccoli vs. cauliflower poll. Broccoli by a landslide. I only eat them steamed, though. I don't do any fancy flavorings or anything like that, which could maybe put some cauliflower recipes over broccoli in some capacity.
